"Last night we drove over a box cutter blade which resulted in a bad flat. I called Racine Tire and they told me to bring the van in and they would try to fit me in right away. Sure enough, they dropped everything the moment I arrived to assess and repair the flat. The three guys that helped us were knowledgeable, the work was done quickly, and the price was MORE than fair. They did not once try to talk me into new tires that I didn't need yet. My 10 year old son was with me and he has such a great experience the first thing he did when he got home was to create a model of their store. "My family did a lot of business with these guys when both Jeff(the owner) and I where a lot younger. I soured on them about 15 years ago when I ordered a set of expensive Michelins with a 700 wear rating and got some soft compound(400) for the same price. The 400s wear a lot faster. This summer I thought I'd give them another shot as Rick had left and Jeff was back running things and they are just up the street from me. The permanent "Help Wanted" sign in front and the homeless looking guys working there should have sounded the alarm in my head. I ordered a set of German made Generals, had them installed on a Friday and on a trip to Kenosha on I-94 that Saturday, I thought the wheels were left loose(lots of vibration). On further inspection, the balance weights from the previous Firestones where still on the rims. I took the car back and they tried balancing but I wound up taking it to my mechanic who had a good laugh at the shoddy work."

"After getting a flat tire on I-94, I called Racine Tire & Auto the next morning. Jeff helped me schedule a 4 tire replacement later that same day. He said the tires needed to be ordered and likely delivered between 11:30a and 12:30p. He called me at about 12 noon and said I should come in as soon as possible. I arrived at 12:40p and the tires were installed and ready to go at 1:30p. I was pleasantly surprised that the whole process was completed that quick. The prices were good and I liked going to a local independent shop instead of Walmart or Discount Tire, etc. I highly recommend this business."
