"The cashier is a stupid racist and hysterical (supervisor's daughter) I called to get them to communicate with the kitchen and she told me that they were very busy, that she could help me and I asked her if she spoke Spanish and she said no and She hung up on me, when I went to the store I asked her why she hung up on me and she started to be very arrogant and told me not to come back to her store (I wasn't going back anyway) then I heard a hysterical woman who followed me to the store parking lot and she started yelling at me like crazy saying that I should learn English first and much more things that I didn't even pay attention to because it's not worth putting yourself on the same level as a mentally ill person. Very bad for them, that attitude is terrible, because their business is supported by the majority of Mexican people and this woman does not like being asked if someone speaks Spanish, (it is not an obligation that they speak Spanish, but they do not have to have such an ugly attitude) Since most of their employees are Mexican, I feel bad for them because they are so nice. The very hypocritical owners are on the news with mariachi bands and giving away tacos when they opened the other store on D street, feigning empathy with the Mexican people. Ha Ha Ha RACISTS"

"I'm going to write this only in English, because most hispanohablantes know that these small local markets like Sawaya and Garden Farms – with fresh-made tortillas, several varieties of fresh (not aged) cheese, and butchers – are veritable treasure troves of interesting and reasonably priced ingredients. The staff and customers I've encountered are always friendly and helpful. The parking lot at this location (there's another Sawaya 2 blocks north) is sometimes full, but there's parking on Broadway or Flower Street."

"The best and freshest tortillas in town. Always freshly made they are still warm in the bag. Great selection of Mexican food and cheeses."
