"This is the newest addition to San Marcos's parks. It has a nice wide dirt path that's 1.19 miles around. Very easy walk with a few minor hills. It's a pretty oasis with lots of singing birds. Keep your eyes open for rattlesnakes, I saw a sleeping baby on the edge of the trail."
"Wonderful wide, paved path around a beautiful lake with gorgeous scenery. Great for strollers, bikes and scooters. Fun playground for the kids. Picnic tables and bathrooms. Small parking lot but plenty of additional street parking."
"Enjoy walking around the lake. Trail is an easy walk on level ground, fishing with license, dock, benches, lots of wildlife. Native plants, clean, well maintained. There are other trails that are moderate to difficult, great for jogging and running. Park area has green space, nice large play structures, and a water feature for the kids. Parking in lot and street parking. A jewel of a park in San Marcos, CA."
