"Went to the San Mateo branch for the first time. The store was pretty nice, pricey but had a lot of beautiful things but was very disappointed with the coffee shop. The barister asked my friend if she can warm up the coffee in the microwave because the coffee wasn't hot enough. What kind of place needs to microwave your coffee. There were flies everywhere and the tables were dirty. I had to wipe down my own table. Garbage cans were open and close to the table which explains the flies. I have been to the Blackhawk location and it is impressive. For an upscale store I expected all the departments to be clean and immaculate. If I am paying a lot of money for items, I expect a better service and a clean environment."

"Amazing selection of grocery items. Fresh veggies, meats, and seafood. Impressive selection of red wine, white wine, beer, and spirits. Hot foods and bakery products are also outstanding. Small parking lot on street level, but there’s a large underground parking lot as well."

"Besides an amazing array of fresh flowers (some I've never, ever seen in my life) they have every yummy thing you could ever imagine. An outstanding choice of artisanal cheeses and salamis - as well as - ice cream from small Mom & Pop shops in the bay area. It's not cheap but it is worth it. Looking for a Welsh Cheddar with Scallions in it? They've got it. Want a spicy soprasatta that will knock your socks off? They've got it. Specialty Apricot jam from Italy? They've got that, too!! Go, you're gonna love it!"
