"TJ’s is handy for certain items. But the quality of their products is mediocre. And many things are packaged, forcing you to buy more than you want. The amount of plastic that they use is unconscionable. The most annoying aspect is the staff clogging the aisles and loudly talking to each other. Have you ever had one of them say, “Pardon me” or “Excuse me?” Me neither."
"Trader Joe's in San Mateo near freeway 92 is my favorite location to shop. I particularly like the large parking lot which is shared with TJ Maxx, 7-11, and Ross stores. This Trader Joe's location is much smaller but I like the quint feeling. The store frontage is always decorated with seasonal plants or flowers and for this is important because the fung shui energy is positioned in the right area. The interior store design is similar to the other stores but on a mini level."

"It’s not shopping. It’s joeing. Online retail has absolutely nothing on the sheer thrill of in-store discovery. You never know what you will find. And that’s the point. The staff here are fantastic and hard working and well paid in their highly competitive industry. And quirkiness is something you simply cannot put a price on. For good reason."
