Tots' Spot Academy Smyrna

"Let me start out by saying this is such a bittersweet moment. I have been employed with Tot Spot for exactly 2 years now. I was pregnant with my third baby. They welcomed me with open arms. Unfortunately, there were no spots available for her to be there. After I had her, my Director made it a priority to be able to open up a spot for my baby girl. She started at seven weeks old. She is now about to be 20 months old on the 25th. She not only has teachers, but a second family. When she struggled to walk, they made it a priority to work with her every day. It’s good to know that I have the peace of mind that I can leave my baby girl. I know that she will always be safe, taken care of, and loved. I am a single mother of three and when I’m not at home, I’m always at work. I’ve made so many friends not only with my coworkers, but also with the parents. The great thing about being a teacher is not only creating a bond with the child, but also with the parents. I want them to be able to know that their child will always be taken care of and safe. I love the greetings from them every morning. I am just beyond blessed with all that God has provided to me. I couldn’t see my daughter and I no where else besides here!!"

"I'm very disappointed with this facility and the company as a whole. They all believe it's perfectly fine to put a non walking child outside and let them crawl in their sharp mulch on the playground. I wasn't told this was how they do things. My husband picked up my child one day and he had a very large bruise on his face, very dark circular bruises on his knees, and every square inch of his jacket was covered in the sharp mulch. I came to the conclusion that he was on the ground, because the update photos never showed him on the ground. I confronted them about it and they said yes we do that and it's perfectly fine. I told them this was unacceptable as my son can't walk yet. They also claimed they investigated the bruise on his face, but a week went by and all they could say was, sorry we don't know how it happened. I told them then they clearly weren't watching my son then. They didn't really give me a good solution about the mulch thing and made me feel like I was crazy for even being bothered by this. I asked one of the administrators if she would do that to her own non walking child and she changed the subject and didn't answer me. That says it right there that they wouldn't do that to their own children, but us paying parents' children don't deserve the same respect and decency. I even spoke to other daycare companies in the area and they all told me they would never put a non walking child on the ground and they are subject to the same regulations as this facility. I hope any parent looking for daycare for their non walking child steers clear of Tots Spots."

"My children have been at Tots' Spot Academy in Smyrna for a little less than a year, but I have been blown away by the level of care and attention the staff provides not only to my children but also to me as a first time mom. They are patient with me as I ask questions and provide sound advice. They love on my children for me while I am at work, and I never once doubt whether or not they are in good hands. It's a blessing to be able to be part of the Tots' Spot community and family."
