"Had to wait, and wait, and wait at the drive thru! Are you kidding me? Really? I was surprised. We have other fish places up North and this was just blah. My fish was not to my liking, my cole slaw was ok and my hush puppies dry. Never again! Once WAS enough!"

"I went through the drive thru. I ordered the 10 pc family pack with okra and fries. I asked if the fries could be cooked crispy. The person taking the order hollered, “burn the fries!” I said, “no! Don’t burn them, just cook so they are crispy.” And we both laughed. I have to say, we’ve been going to the Almaville location for a while and after going to the Lowry St location, we’ll likely not go to Almaville again. This was the best meal we’ve had from Captain D’s in years. Everything was cooked to perfection. Well done to the manager and staff!! Bravo!"

"Paid for a 12 piece shrimp and fries. Never received receipt and waited 20 minutes for the gentleman to flat out call me a liar and say I never paid. Which is funny because my bank account says otherwise. Manager refused to look back in computer to see I was telling the truth. So y'all stole $6.57 from me while the same time insulting me in front of other customers. Happed around 10:55 am"

"First time to Captain D’s. Darius the Cashier was courteous and professional. Management came around and ask how everything was. Food- Cajun Catfish, green beans, coleslaw. With Sweet tea of course. It all tasted great! Place was friendly and I plan to visit back in when I’m town."

"The lady and gentleman working at drive-thru window were just great - Very nice and polite. It goes downhill fast from there - The fish was okay, and the same for crabcakes, but the shrimp was HORRIBLE. It was overcooked, and tasted like it was possibly past it's "sale-date." Food-wise, worst experience ever at Captain D's, and I've enjoyed their food for over 40 years. I'll chalk this pick-up order as a "Fluke," compared with the countless times I've been happy with the franchise!"
