"I have come to get gas here before, and it has been fine, however, this time I came to get gas and air. I went to get air first as the air pump was closest to me at the time. I went inside to ask for the air to be turned on. They said that I needed a receipt. I was confused and thought they meant from the air machine, and I said that I didn't think I did. They then specified that I needed a gas receipt. I told them that I planned to get gas afterward. They insisted I needed a receipt. I completely understand that it could be company policy to get a gas receipt before allowing air pumps to be used although I had yet to encounter that situation. My issue was with how rude they were to me. I would have simply driven my car to get gas before air if they hadn't spoken so loudly and unkindly. I no longer wanted to spend any money to support their business. As a woman and a very young person, I felt unsafe in the way they were speaking and acting. I have never experienced such a terrible feeling from a business."

"This is the absolutely the worst gas station for customer service. I'm an African American female and was racially profile by some weird short male clerk who was informed by a white male that my boyfriend was asking for gas also who is native American, all because he had a gas can in his hand. When actually he was making sure I had extra gas for the long trip ahead And we still purchased a drink after the fact. I FEEL SO DISRESPECTED I'm in absolute awwww that things like this still happen and that the clerk would go as far as to chime in never coming here again!!!"

"Although I do not support the fossil fuel industry and own an electric car, the service behind the counter from a very nice (I believe, East Indian) man who really went above and beyond, truly he is a treasure and I will go back solely because of the buoyant, friendly energy that is sorely lacking in other Encinitas businesses, like Ralph’s. Hopefully part of his happiness comes from that they pay him very well otherwise they should start immediately for his wealth creation. 10/10 would recommend."
