"I really wish that my first choice was Import Workz! I have an older car and it simply needs cleaner run through but have neglected to do so often enough. It didn't burn as clean but passed. Previously I had a passing grade at another station but he wouldn't pass the car because there was a small crack in the rubber intake hose! What an A-hole! The scammer (crook) tried to sell me a catalytic converter $$$ (which it doesn't need!), charge me $150 to diagnose the vehicle, and NO free retest $$$! He spent A LOT of time doing things around the motor (I think he was tampering with the smog system). He was obviously wanting to make additional money. [I recently did oil change, tune-up, and more so I was expecting to pass!] He kept bringing up $$$ and catalytic converter! I wasted a lot of time at this shell station for nothing but getting ripped off. Instead I went back to my mechanic and he replaced the hose. My mechanic recommended going here to Import Workz and I am sure glad I did! Nothing was wrong with the car and the emissions were actually lower (the next day)! I don't often give five stars but this business deserves it! This is an HONEST smog technician. I felt at ease because he took time to ask questions which I am always asked when I get a smog check. He also offered advice on being more diligent about gas additives to clean all the motor and smog emissions systems. He was not soliciting me to buy anything at all. I was nervous but when the car passed cleanly and legally I was finally at ease. I will come back again! I no longer have to stress about finding an honest emissions shop."
