"Many First Street brand items are priced very fair. This is the only reason I shop there from time to time. I went in the other day - this is the third time in a row that Ive shopped there and never even got a hello from the cashier. I feel like they are upset and so unhappy to be working...? Its just weird to me. The only conversation was my total for my grocery items. No, hello... no how are you... no thanks for shopping with us.... NOTHING. Their produce is also gross. Everything aside from jalepenos goes rotten within 2-3 days. Just my own experience"

"Surprisingly pleasant cashier! Professional, too. Fast checkout, fully stocked shelves, a good variety of basic groceries + some specialty foods. This is a non-membership "warehouse" that carries lots of supplies that would be typically used by restaurants, for example, or small commercial cleaning companies. (If Costco's jumbo packaging is too much for you, it's another good reason to check out Smart & Final -- and again, without having to pay the membership fee.) That means it's a great place for bulk shopping if you're feeding a lot of people -- you know, like a reunion, a large birthday party, or other group get-together. And if you are generally into cooking, I would always come here first for commercial-grade knives and other kitchen utensils and tools, including pots and pans."

"They have great deals on a lot bulk product! The store is typically well stocked and always clean. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in their area of work. Unfortunately they are frequently short staffed so there is often a bit of a wait primarily during peak hours. I still give them 5 Stars for dealing with some of the more challenging members of our community based on demographics"
