"It seemed smaller than other go's . The isles were over crowded. There was barely enough room to pass another shopping cart. They didn't have as great a selection and there was no rice pudding!! The music choice would be improved if it were jazz or anything without words. Anyways the Oakland on 27 / Broadway much better. Sorry Alameda...your beach is great though!!"

"I have no idea what these others are posting about saving you money. So many items are much more expensive than Safeway! And, many are almost expired or expired. I was there today, and couldn't believe what they are charging. I ended up buying only the item I came in for. It was $1 cheaper than Safeway. Using the gas I probably came out even. I can get Kelloggs Shredded wheat for $1.99 at Safeway (on sale)....at Grocery Outlet their junk cereals are 3.99-4.99!!! The other big problem is that many of the items don't HAVE A PRICE!. How can you buy something if you don't know how much it is? Another customer was complaining about the same thing to me as we looked at a product without a price. About 20% of the items in that store didn't have a price tag....what??? I can shop where ever I choose, and choose not to shop there all that much...only if I'm in the area."

"Grocery outlet always has the best fruits and veggies at the most affordable price. It's one of the few places that promises to sell groceries and delivers on their promise."

"I am a lifelong Alameda resident, and a 32 year resident of this neighborhood, so please believe me when I say that this store embodies the funky, fun, slightly wacky spirit of old school Alameda. Think "1970s Alpha Beta Market" except with cool modern stuff. Fantastic deals on food, really nice employees, and lowkey hippie parent vibes while you shop. I actually look forward to bringing my two boys here, and I can honestly relax and just have fun finding food with them because I know we'll be loading up on two weeks of stuff for $120 or less. Great meats and seafood. A stunning amount of fresh produce. 5 stars all around. Like a school field trip for moms and dads. I promise you will love this store as much as we do!"

"I love all their KETo selections!! It can get crowded at times, so when the parking lot is full. I leave, cause they don't always have enough cashiers."
