"First & last time. Called about the wait for an oil change and Percy said it was no wait if I got there soon. Couldn't get there right away, was there in a little more than an hour and was told it would be about 3 hours to do the oil and rotate the tires. Percy said they had a coupon for the service he'd hook me up with. No problem, left the car and called for a ride. 2 hours later they called to say it was ready for pick up. Percy said during the service they noticed the tread on the two front tires was low and recommended they be replaced soon. Also, one of the spark plugs was bad and they recomended replacement. I had another stop down the street and noticed the tires had not been rotated. Went back and Percy explained that when the tire tread is below a certain mark, it is unsafe to rotate the tires and they will not do it. Since the full service wasn't done, I asked why I didn't get the on-line coupon rate for the oil change and he said it was because I didn't ask for it. He 'hooked me up' with the $15 coupon to make it $75 instead of the oil change coupon for $40 they have on their website."

"I was doing my research on places knowing I had to get my brakes looked at and replaced and I didn’t have time to waste and I read good things about family auto service so I took my chances and my husband went in for a quote with a surprisingly good deal and they had good coupons/deals for first time customers. Percy was who helped us I feel not alot of places do this but what Percy did was he explained in full detail and what was happening with our brakes and what the best and safest decision would be and I knew right then and there I didn’t want to look any further and I was amazed even more that there was an opening to get the services done that same day. After such a great experience we will definitely be coming back for all our car needs they have the best prices and great staff and thank you again Percy for your kind and generosity I recommend family auto service 100%."

"If I could give 0 stars, I would. just wanted to give everyone a heads up. I took my vehicle into Family Auto Service on Mission Gorge a few months ago for a driver side wheel bearing replacement. These folks had my truck for almost 4 weeks, to “fix” that one single issue. In that time, they kept giving me the run around, “we can’t find this part we need, we don’t have the machine needed to press the bearing” etc. Finally, I got my truck back and was told they replaced it twice. Same noise, issues I had when i brought it in were still present, even after charging me almost $500. I then took it to a different shop who confirmed that the wheel bearing was not replaced properly. In fact, the bearing was found to be loose on the hub, it was not pressed on all the way. I have reached out twice in the past month letting them know the situation and hoping they would make it right, with proof of receipts and all, to no avail. I am just posting this here so everyone is aware of the shotty work being done there. If they are charging me full price for work not being done, they are doing it to other people. Not to mention it is unsafe and they told me there were no issues leaving the shop, that everything was “good to go”. Be careful going to that place, I would not recommend what so ever. This is the receipt from the new shop showing repair of the part “previously fixed” by Family Auto Center, for reference. On the other hand, highly recommend Caliber in EC, they got me right took care of me good."

"I liked that they have a shuttle to bring me home while my car was being fixed. The front desk person was very helpful. They gave me a time work would be finished and it was. I would give a five star but the work itself seems good but I only picked up the car a few hours ago. It's hard to tell if my alignment and brake fluid exchange made my car run different. Otherwise, I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others."
