"I like to shop at Ace Hardware in Elk Grove because they still have good customer care. I can ask questions and I get the correct answers. I can find an employee working on the sales floor easily when I need help. The prices at Ace Hardware are comparable to the big box stores with good customer service."

"I returned an item with in 3 hours after I bought, the manager refused to take it back. IT WAS NOT TOOL, CLEARANCE, POWER EQUIPMENT, I HAD RECEIPT! Horrible service, I could not believe he said it was my bad. I always came here because of the friendly service even though the price is higher than the big boxes and to support small local businesses. It's my bad, so true that the manager said to my face. I never wrote bad review even though I got bad service sometimes, but the manager's attitude made me write bad review to let the public know. WATCH OUT THE RETURN POLICY, HE DID NOT HORNOR IT!"

"Nice to have a larger Ace Hardware in Elk Grove! Larger than the Sheldon store, with, of course, a broader selection. Have not been able to determine the knowledge of theirs staff yet-- which (in my mind) is what differentiates Ace from their competition. Will update this review with an assessment of that... Well, the knowledge is still spotty, but lower echelon folks have to obviously been trained to seek help quickly. I had to wait a couple of minutes, but soon had the PVC fittings In needed"

"Looked online for a part for my mower it says they have them in stock! But no where to be found! Finally get help I’m told only a few left guessing they are tossed in this giant clearance bin! So 4-5 people stand around the paint counter not offering to help while I looked. There is to many people working there not to offer help? Pretty sad and I never found it"
