"A rinnai heater I bought there was recalled and when I called to get it repaired and they said they could not fix until Jan 20, I mentioned that it was a recall due to possible carbon monoxide poisoning, and I was told to “not guilt trip them”. Clearly not where I will ever do business again. This is not how to treat a customer concerned about a renter’s safety."

"If you expect them to honor the warranty forget that the wireless thermostat went out the said the manufacturer discontinued them which was a lie I just ordered one after wasting my time talking with them they would only offer a wired thermostat and the girl answering the phone is as bad as the warranty ( useless) I spent almost 5000 dollars on a new Quadra fire trekker pellet stove my recommendation is to find any other store to buy your stove it will be much better experience I’m sure"

"Our experience with Hometown Store was positive from beginning to end. On our initial visit we were offered plenty of assistance but without being smothered. We were given lots of guidance and information to help us narrow down the many stove options and later had the opportunity to chat at length with Dave to make our choice. We told them we'd be back in a few days to pick it up but when I discovered it was much heavier than anticipated, Dave talked us out of bumbling through moving it and told me his guys could save us the trouble. They stored it in their warehouse until I had everything ready at home. I gave them a call to arrange an appointment for delivery, and mere hours later two burly guys wheeled the stove in, placed it on our platform, and drove off without a hitch. I would recommend this store to anyone on the market for heating stoves and accessories. They're local, friendly, and competent."
