"If this is modern Italian I’ll stick with classic! Reservation was at 4:45pm. We were quickly seated. Lights were low. There were people at the bar and seated around the restaurant. We started with Shrimp bruschetta, bread for 2 and crab stuffed portobello. Shrimp and bruschetta just didn’t go together. Bread for 2 was rosemary and Italian served with butter and oil. Both breads were very dense. The crab dish won here and would be what we thought the best dish of the night. Creamy, spicy and the portobello was tender. My wife had the Bistecca. Plain and seriously lacking. I had the rib dish with fingerling potatoes. The rib tasted like granny’s pot-roast she left in the oven to long. The fingerlings were lacking as well. Everything was bland…. I brought 90% of my rib plate home so I could add some A-1. Maybe it was an off night. Judging by the reviews I read this place was supposed to be great."
"We met some friends who are regulars here, and it was good. They have a unique "make your own charcuterie" that let's you select what you want. We had to drag the details out of the server; not sure she knew we were new. The elk rack, Bolognese, and several of the shared plates were all good."
"Wonderful scratch made Italian restaurant with a fun and chic vibe! Brenner was out waiter, and he was incredible! He was very personable, attentive, and charismatic. All around 5 star dinner!"
"One of my favorite spots for fresh pasta in Franklin. Very authentic and arguably the best Italian place in the area. I strongly recommend the Bolognese - my favorite item on the menu. Simple yet effective. Very good drink menu as well. You’re in a for a nice time if you come into this place. Make reservations in advance as it gets full on weekend nights."
