"Best front desk staff ever! Kind, helpful, allowed us to check in early and checkout late. Clean, nice rooms. Wish we had a better view...maybe ask next time. We've stayed here before and appreciate the perfect location."
"Came to Chicago to hang out with family. We all stayed at the intercontinental. When we first arrived trying to get a valet was difficult. We sat in traffic for about 15 minutes until we could get up to the front door. The service was very pleasant and polite. They gave us a ticket and told us it was going to be $80 for one night. They also told us that when we are ready to check out to call down 10 minutes in advance and the car would be brought around. we got to the room and it was clean, modern, well appointed. The beds were comfortable and clean. The tower had been renovated recently so it is top-notch. The views were decent. Noise was near nonexistent except for the typical city noise through the windows. The bad part came next morning when I called down to get our car and I was told we’re not gonna bring around your car until you’re down here. I said to him, is that new because yesterday we were told to call 10 minutes in advance of coming down. The young man then said “look man, come down and ask for your vehicle and will bring it around. If I’m spending $80 for one night for parking I expect not to be spoken to that way and to get conflicting information. They need to get control of that. We probably won’t stay there again because of it. The other downside of this hotel is it is right on Michigan Avenue which has become the central or South America homeless center of Chicago. The presence of beggars are everywhere. Very depressing and disturbing. When we have stayed in Lincoln Park and places like that, we haven’t had any problems like that and the prices were much more reasonable."
"Had a delightful vacation in Chicago, staying at this hotel. They graciously accommodated an early check-in, and the breathtaking views added to the luxurious experience. The amenities were top-notch, from the warm and spacious pool to the wonderful food, bar, and room service (highly recommend the parmesan fries and multi-layer chocolate cake). While the room fridge was a bit small, and the wind on higher floors was loud, these minor inconveniences were overshadowed by the overall fantastic stay. The only downside was the slightly pricey food, but the quality justified it. Already looking forward to my next stay!"
"Stayed at this hotel for a short vacation trip to Chicago. They accommodated early check in which was amazing. The views were m breath taking! it was luxurious with amazing amenities. The architecture and design (inside and out) were lovely. The hotel pool was wonderful (very warm and spacious). Food, bar, and room service also wonderful (parmesan fries and multi layer chocolate cake). The only negatives: the room fridge was tiny, the wind was so loud being on a higher up floor, and the food was on the pricey side but still really good. I can't wait to stay here again!"
"I stayed there because walked in once and liked it. It is affordable, considering the location. I checked-in online, however, they couldn’t find me and I had to show them my confirmation number. So not very smooth. Also, if you book the room on their website, they lock the cost of the room and the deposit about $100, which was not really expected. There’s Starbucks, Michael Jordan’s Steak House and a gift shop. The rooms are tiny, the bed and TV are huge. Also there is a dedicated work space, but again very small."
