"This place is disgusting. After voicing my concerns and writing a review about the lies and unprofessionalism with staff I was RETALIATED on. I arrived at the hospital Saturday February 24th the first time coming back to the hospital after my review exposing Frank Al Melissa Toya and other staff by that MONDAY the 26th I was accused of all of a sudden threatening a nurse named ALBA and had to be removed from the premises. Guess who was sitting at the nurses station to watch me be walked out? The nurses and staff I exposed in my review!! Brant the CEO looked me dead in the eyes and told me I was causing issues threatening staff WHICH NEVER HAPPENED and had to be removed. Guess they wasn't to happy with me exposing the hospital for who they truly are publicly. If u have issues take pictures please, document it like I did bc MANDELA, ARIEL, BRANT, the supervisors and HOUSE SUPERVISORS will listen to your concerns tell the other staff you're complaining and the you're confrontational you're rude you're difficult show will begin. I'm currently in the process of getting getting a lawyer please don't find yourself in my place. Go over the house supervisors the department of quality etc. Contact the MEDICAL BOARD OF TEXAS A LAWYER ETC. Retaliation for me voicing my concerns about your hospital and staff is UNACCEPTABLE. Not to mention the nurse Jasmine is currently under investigation for strong arming my loved one with his sister right in the room! My sister n law was only there 48 hours and was constantly harassed by staff and Ariel about her personality and addressing her brothers neglect. If u have a loved in here please please please keep your eyes open. The staff, house supervisors, CEO etc are careless computer screens who will read u scripts to quiet u knowing they are all friends who protect each other even if it means lying and scheming."

"Call JACO, HHSC because you will. In Sepetemeber 2023 my grandmother had a stroke. She went to St. David’s Round Rock. After nearly every doctor said she was going to be a vegetable, she started figiting back to heal from her stroke. After week 3, St. David’s case workers gave a list of 4 LTAC in the Austin area. CornerStone Round Rock, Corner Stone Austin, Texas Neuro, and PAM Luling. We picked Cornerstone in Round Rock. *CAUTION* When the case workers come to you at the hospital, make sure they give you data and exhaust all of your options to make sure your relatives can stay and get the critical care the hospital can provide. Ask for the data on patient returns from LTACs back to the hospitals and make sure they provide it to you. I went ahead of my grandmother being transfered to check out the facility. Ariel was the house supervisor at the time. She gave me a tour. I wasn’t that impressed with the facility because the place lacked staff. Med/Surg was in particular empty. Basically, if your relative is not able to communicate, don’t leave them alone. It took my grandmother a week to get off the ventilator and she was on the trach collar for most her time. She went up stairs to med/surge Within the first week, my grandmother who entered this facility with no infections, no sores, just stroke issues, got pnumonia with CRE. Dr. Toledo who was in charge of her care for maybe a week, was taking advice from us which we were getting from my grandmother’s PCP. Why did Dr. Toledo not know the facility had access to other specialist? I have no clue. Why are they only using papers and not a computer system to relay notes and medication write ups? I am confused, you would think these places are living in the late 80’s & 90’s. When the cultures came back, the doctor was told which antibiotic to use on the infection with the pnumonia. Why did Dr. Toledo come back to us and tell us the anti-biotic cost a $1000 a bottle? That shouldn’t matter seeing that my grandmother’s insurance was paying for her care. When she finally got the anti-biotic, it was not the one that the doctor was told to you use. She used another antibotic. Why seek out a specialist and not follow the advice of the specialist? Before the doctor got answers about on which anti-biotic to use, they were going to relese her and we were glad because my grandmother’s condition worsened. When were letting them know which hospital to tranfer to, the staff was like “ this will be AMA but give us the chance to help”, they didn’t but good try, I guess. So time went on my grandmother’s pnemonia and CRE ARE NOT clearing up. Nurses ignore when I tell them my grandmother is clammy. One nurse got mad at my mom because we wanted to know why they were giving her albumin. The nurse didn’t return to my grandmother’s room for over 7 hours. She sat in her waste for hours. The nurses weren’t properly cleaning her, we would go back and check and we would see pop residue on the washclothes. She had 3 UTIs, which can knock her out. Every week the doctor would take chest x-rays and say no change. Dr. Toldeo nor did Dr. Romain try to help her with the pnemonia. This cause my grandmother to go into total sudden renal failure. Nurses tocuching her vent tubes with soiled gloves. My grandmother went from recovery and getting her trach capped to gasping for air for weeks and doctor’s pretending they are giving her the proper treatment. She gained over 100 lbs from fluid being retained in her body. Her wounds on leg got worse and bigger. When they finally wanted to release her, the nurse whose is in charge of admission and discharge, asked me where we wanted to take her? I said she needs to go back to the hospital. She said why would i think that? I said she’s getting sick and you’re messing up her recovery. She then tried to put the blame on my gma of not being to not sleep without the vent. I asked her “who told you my gma was on the vent at night?” She pulls out paper work, and says, it’s right here. Again, stay with your people. I had been staying every night she wasn’t on the vent."

"I was actually indecisive about writing this but going through all the other reviews it's crazy how some people have good experiences and the ones who didn't have such have similar stories I have a loved one that's been inside this hospital for several months to tell a few situations I had a nurse by the name of Latoya tell me that my loved one was yelling down the hallway my first thought that came to mind was why would he be yelling when he's having speech issues from the multiple sclerosis and also why would he have to yell if you had his call button available? On another situation I was waiting for a package that was taken by house staff Melissa upstairs went to receive my package and Frank in swallow therapy frustratedly raised his feminine energy telling me ppl are dying and I'm worried about a package! Yet when I turned to walked away him and the other staff was laughing smiling and I take it satisfied with Franks behavior. Nothing was addressed by house supervisor Melissa matter fact she walked by my loved ones room several times ignoring me. Nurses have lied multiple times on me and my loved one one being that I was going to patients room looking for staff and that I cursed at staff all not true to I guess have me removed from hospital bc I addressed my loved one laying in urine multiple times from my surprise visits which I've documented and have pictures, pressure wounds on his rear and ankle from not being turned or wearing the foot boots. I've complained to supervisors been given different numbers told they would do this or the other and nothing has changed. They constantly write negative notes saying my loved one is refusing to eat so they can feed him through the feeding tube bc they're to lazy to take out time to help him eat if necessary. I've spoken with my loved one several times who confused says that's not true he doesn't eat certain foods and they do not offer alternatives. The negative notes have made it difficult to find placement for my loved one. I also had to address Al who I believe works in respiratory about walking down the hallways calling me trouble. When I spoke with him concerning this he claimed he didn't mean it like that, I'm still yet to figure out what he meant calling me trouble. I can go on and on with situations of the unprofessional acts of the individuals at this hospital and addressing it with the house supervisors etc is pointless bc they are no better. Im sure if I never addressed the accountability of the nurses taking care of my loved one everything would be roses. We have to give the care we would expect to receive if in this given situation ourselves. This hospital is full of high school minded individuals who gossip about each other lack passion for their job and have no problem being deceptive about patients or their loved ones. Be mindful if you have a loved one here. Calling to check on them do not mean they are not laying in urine and or being neglected. Shame on this hospital you've made me see the medical field in a dim light. And for the few decent nurses who are overworked and underappreciated I hope u don't lose your passion"

"I wish I had the words to express how very much I appreciate each of you in levels that some will never understand. Because of every single staff member I am taking home with needs so much more than progression. Each if you touched my heart and soul in ways I cannot explain, in and of itself saving my life. My prayer is that none of you will ever discount one another's contribution to the wellness and healing process of your patients, from ownership of this establishment to ground zero, too of the totem pole to the bottom. It's like a recipe, with all the ingredients, it works, leave one ingredient out and it begins to crumble. It's OK to want to make sure things are done proper. It's also equally important to allow yourself to feel along the way making connections on levels that surpass all understanding. I'm so blessed to have been sent here. God bless each of you beyond measure. Love and prayers"
