"I am a learner (student) at this school, it is AMAZING!!! I love it so much. I have learned in ways that I thought I never would. In Navigation, (a classroom/studio) we have a culture as tight as family and I have made so many friends. I love the owners they’re so fun. I have seen how much they love and care for the school and learners. This is the kind of school that you can say ‘I love school’ and really, really mean it. There is no assigned homework, which isn’t the point of this review but just thought i’d mention it. ;) This school is not like public school at all, you don’t have to sit in a desk and listen to a teacher lecture you, instead we have a socratic way of learning. The guides (adults in the room) do not answer questions. If they do answer a question they answer it with a question."

"Acton Leadership Academy is beyond a school. It is a family, a way of life, and an extension of the parents. It is hard to describe your experience with Acton to someone who is used to traditional school settings. We read the book written by the founder and spoke to Chad and Michelle who opened this location, and we fell in love with the idea that our child would figure out how to learn, not just learn what was being said. By mixing Montessori learning and the Acton way, my 4-year-old began to ask me questions that I am not sure I have ever asked myself. She wanted to watch videos and understand on her own. I was never asked why, I was asked, "can we watch a video?". They are showing children to learn and do things on their own, but there is still a huge level of respect being taught. There is respect for the adults, other students, and themselves. When you see your child exploring and understanding on their own, you have a sense of fulfillment because you know that they will make their way in the world, even at such a young age, and they will do it in a way that very few of us in this day and age were ever given the ability to do. Beyond the educational side of things, the people at Acton are caring and selfless. You will always know that you have a place to run if you need help, a hug, or just someone to talk to. My favorite part of Acton is accountability- for you and your child. We are always learning and growing, even as parents, and they want you to show that growth and work on it when you have not. When there is an issue with the children, they have the means to fix it in real-time and make changes that truly affect the children's progression and growth. Acton Leadership Academy has helped my family learn to explore the world of possibilities and grow together. We will always have a home even when we are no longer there."

"A school that prepares your child for college, or hard skills? Time and work load management mastery? Proper human interaction without scripts? TRUELY independent learning at YOUR CHILD'S Level? Strengthens the Family Unit through being at this school? Self Accountability, team work, failures and learning through it? mistakes and consequences while growing through it? I cannot say enough about this school and the environment which allows for each child to grow to their own limits, be it low or high or undiscovered. No wasting time w/ AP classes in highschool, take the AP test, only to learn you didn't score high enough to get the college credit exemption? Not here. My kiddo can go straight into LoneStar college for her college courses and receive full college credit provided she met the requirements while still enrolled as a highschool student. No need for AP classes and AP tests. can't say enough good things about this place."

"My son started at Acton Academy the Woodlands in Feb 2018. We as a family have seen a huge difference in how he has taken responsibility for his learning and the magic of discovery has come alive for him. He has come home and requested to lead discussions with his siblings. He listens to them and we have had some amazing discussions together.
