WoodSpring Suites Plano - North Dallas

"THIS PLACE IS WITHOUT A DOUBT POSTING FAKE 5 STAR REVIEWS!!! DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THE 5 STAR REVIEWS. THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE DUMP!!! This place is an absolute slum and scammers. My father was in town for Christmas and booked his stay at this place. When he got checked in the entire building had a terrible stench, including his room. The room was dirty and he found two dead roaches on the couch. He was in the room for less than 10 minutes before realizing there was no way he could stay there. He went back down to the front desk and told the front desk worker he will not stay here. They explained they would have to charge him for that night and would not charge him for the other 5 days. He was charged a month later for the entire stay."

"My husband and I have been coming to this location for 3 years, and we have been pleased with it for the most part. We enjoyed having a full refrigerator, stove, microwave and kitchen amenities. The location is good. Our recent trip was not great. The furniture in our room (chair) was torn and needed to be replaced. The bed linens were clean, but looked dingy. After totally unpacking, we discovered that the toilet did not work, so we had to pack up and change rooms. Our check-time was at 3pm. and we made it there at 3:30pm only to discover that the front office was closed until 5pm, due to a shortage of staff. We could not check in! We were tired and needed to rest. So we had to go to other places to pass the time. I wish that we had known this beforehand. I feel the place has gone down a bit. We will definitely explore other options for our future trips to Plano."

"WoodSpring Suites in North Dallas is a great hotel and at a great rate, whether staying simply overnight or long-term… The premises are kept clean, the room is comfortable and accommodating and the front desk, housekeeping and maintenance staff are always friendly, helpful and considerate… The General Manager is also a great part of the hotel’s staff here… He’s consistently courteous, considerate and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that he and his staff here at the WoodSpring Suites in North Dallas do their best to try and take care of the guests’ needs, concerns and comfort… There isn’t a better and nicer hotel for the money in North Dallas than WoodSpring Suites."

"Check in went smooth and staff was friendly. I only stayed here one night. Location is great because of stores and restaurants in close proximity. This is an extended stay hotel but they have nightly rates available. I recommend paying for 1-2 nights before booking 7 days in advance. I was disappointed in the pungent smell in the hallways and elevator. The smell could be coming from the carpet. As a suggestion, the owner probably needs to have commercial carpet cleaning or have it professionally cleaned. The room itself was clean but again, a deep cleaning should be done when guests checkout. The shower head had some mildew, perhaps from water stains. Air duct vent needs to be cleaned. Other than that, stay was decent for the price. I redeemed hotel rewards I needed to use."
