"Dr. Hankins changed my life after a very difficult period in life. I was a mess to say the least. To say I was weary of trying yet another new doctor would be an understatement but to my surprise when we had our very 1st visit he took the time to actually educate me (which is something I've never had any medical professional do, EVER) & genuinely seemed to care that visit. And now more than 2 yrs later of him being my psychiatrist I feel that he still does, he's just as attentive, patient and kind as he was from day 1. I'm glad I took the chance to meet with him back then. My opinion is anyone would be lucky to have him as their psychiatry specialist."

"I’m going to be very honest here. Ben Hankins is an amazing doctor, but the lady who answers the phone and handles everything is not always nice, and she tends to drop the ball quite a bit. It’s extremely hard to get someone to answer the phone or get a call back. I have had Dr. Hankins for years, but if I’m honest, with the lady at the front desk hardly ever answering the phone or taking weeks to call me back, I’m not sure how much longer I’m willing to be a patient there! It’s definitely frustrating to get the run around from the front desk but get the absolute best care from the doctor. It’s a hard decision for me whether I should stay as a patient or not. This has been building up for about 5 months now. If you need a caring doctor, Hankins is great, but if you aren’t willing to deal with the disaster of the front desk; find another doctor. Im giving this until the end of the year to change and I’m done!"

"Dr.Hankins has been my doctor for like 5 years. He’s the only psychiatrist that actually listened to me and has really tried to help treat my severe anxiety, agoraphobia, and panic disorder. Most psychiatrists treat anxiety as a symptom of depression, when in fact anxiety is a very difficult condition to deal with on its own. As long as you keep going to your appointments and taking the medication that you both feel works for you, you will feel a lot better very soon. He will tell you if something he prescribes makes you feel bad stop taking it and call immediately so he can fix it. Dr. Hankins and his staff have gone out of their way many times to make sure I got my meds and was able to see the doctor even a few times on short notice when I was having a particularly difficult episode. People complain he’s expensive, but he’s worth every penny."

"Doctor Hankin’s has been my doctor since 2004. I am grateful I found a doctor who cares about his patients and has a vast knowledge of the medical conditions he treats. He is an an amazing person and an amazing doctor."

"I made an appointment with Dr. Hankins, prepaid the +$400 fee for a first appointment, and waited two months before I could see him. A couple days before my appointment his office called and said they were going to have to reschedule me because the doctor 'wanted to take a few days off'. From there I was put to the back of the line again and was told I would have to wait another two months before I could see him. Needless to say I asked for my money back. I wasn't able to get refills on my previous meds I was taking and now left with no medication. It seems like if you pay such an absurd amount to see a psychiatrist they might actually care about the needs of the patients, especially those who already paid and waited their turn to see the doctor but my experience told me otherwise here."
