"We really liked this place and our pup had been seemingly taken care of very well, until she had issues with going potty last week. We took her in last week, then followed up after a few days as the treatment she was prescribed didn’t seem to work, were given different medication. yesterday I called to see if I can take her in for additional tests, but was told she just needs to finish medication and we should get additional medicine to relieve symptoms. I asked if I can drop her off or come towards the evening but was told there was no need and they will call once her medicine is ready. Nobody called us back, and by 6pm she was in such discomfort that we had to take her in to an urgent vet, just to learn that she needs an urgent surgery because she is blocked and cannot go. Today I called and was told there is no mention in the notes about me asking to take her in yesterday, they just had notes that she needs additional medication. The staff is nice and friendly, and we did feel like this was a great place for our pup, but in the moment that mattered most unfortunately we got very disappointed, let alone had to pay way more than it would’ve been, had she been diagnosed properly from the get go."
"Our 3 fur babies are treated so well. We get pictures of them every day they are boarded. The staff is great as well. Always eager to help and professional. Dr. Michalk is wonderful. Answers all questions and treats all as if they are her own babies."
"This is definitely the place to go for loving attention to your pet! Dr. Michalk is wonderful and she takes her time making sure that the well-being of your pet is most important. She's not only my dog's vet, but I consider her a friend who I trust to give me advice on how to take care of things that sometimes just come up and I need her expertise. The staff at Hedgcoxe are great to work with. If you are looking for a new vet or not happy where you're currently going, I would highly recommend Hedgcoxe Animal Hospital for great care of your pets!"
