New Tremont Apartments

"The apartments are so nice but unfortunately whoever runs the building are not so nice people. They said they would rent to my husband and i if we had no felonies. My husband has a dismissed felony charge. He is not a felon. He is a non violent offender, this is a non existing drug charge from 2012. Again, NOT a felon. Apparently the owner has trouble understanding the law and how things work. He was he extremely judgemental (he accused us of getting help from the Salvation Army and was very condescending about it, even though we were not even getting help from the Salvation Army and had all the money and both have full time jobs, lol) and very, very rude. If you’re getting help from the Salvation Army definitely don’t expect him to rent to you! And if you have anything on your record and you’re not a felon, he won’t rent to you either! Rooms are nice though. But a nice room isn’t worth an inept landlord lol."

"I travel for a living, my current assignment is in rural Adams county. I have lived at the New Tremont now approximately 5 months. This is not a 5 star hotel, but it is safe, clean, fully furnished, comfortable and quiet with reasonable pricing. Safety is always a concern but this area is always patrolled being that it's downtown. My room is like my getaway from everything, Most of my neighbors are also traveling medical professionals, and quite a few college students, everyone I've met here in the building is nice and will help you out if you need it. Management/staff here at the New Tremont is personable, professional, and act on any complaints/problems. The front desk is your friend, with a smile even when you're grumpy first thing in the morning. Maintenance is on top of it, even putting a extra shelf in your closet the day you ask if this is possible, to having a brand new air conditioner installed when the room wasn't cooling properly. The manager coordinates and truly cares for the people that live and work here. He is the driving force to make sure whatever needs to happen with the building happens in a timely manner. I recommend the New Tremont to anyone looking for a safe, comfortable, place to live, I feel they are like my extended family and will come back to visit once I leave this area or if I'm lucky be assigned here again. The New Tremont and the city of Quincy are special, I'm grateful I got to know both."

"Building is old so naturally, things are a bit dated and in need of repair. Appliances are okay and building is very secure. Laundry is expensive but staff is nice."

"I’m sure the rooms look fine but the customer service is horrific! Whoever works the phone for this place, he always has an attitude and seems like you’re bothering him and intruding on him. His horrible attitude and rudeness made me not even want to stay there anymore."

"I like this apartment set-up as I use mine for out of town business and works perfect. Way cheaper than spending the money for hotels weekly."
