Quality Inn & Suites Quincy - Downtown

"The general manager, Margaret, was super polite and courteous. But, the night shift staff is horrible. First time staying here and will not be returning. Beds are very hard and uncomfortable. The AC unit in my room had an obnoxious noise to it and does not effectively regulate the temperature of the room. Would have probably obtained more sleep if I slept in my truck. I hadn’t recognized it until around 10 PM. After flip flopping in the bed trying to sleep for 3 hours, I had walked downstairs to go outside and get some fresh air to try to settle in for the night. At this point the time was 0100 AM. I was met with the front desk receptionist sitting across from an obviously inebriated man with empty beer bottles on the table. Another man who was visiting with them decided to walk out of the hotel with me. i had gone to the truck to get a jacket and came back. I did not know that they lock the doors to get back in. This being said, the front desk receptionist was more preoccupied with talking with the inebriated man than assisting me. I tried to get their attention then discovered and activated the buzzer. she slowly came to the door. Upon entering the man demanded if I had a key card and stated he was the owner. To which I got mad. Regardless of possible representation of the brand or ownership, I don’t allow any person or especially a man to talk to me in any kind of demanding tone. The lady receptionist stated to ignore him and sat back down at the table with him after letting me back in. I would have raised all the concerns mentioned above to her directly. However, her attention was else where. This is the second issue with a Choice hotel stay. I will not be using any of the brands going forward."

"When I thought of Quality Inn, it was not as where I wanted to stay. My first night I have been forever changed. I needed to make an emergency change to come a day ahead. I booked through Choice Hotels (their website) and when I went to add a extra day - it was SO EASY - no issues. When I checked in late, they warmly welcomed me and with cookies. Friendly people. Rooms have been updated and were clean. Bathroom is big. Bed was a little firm for me, but not bad. Microwave and mini fridge. Wifi worked great so I could get started with work easily. Breakfast had hot (eggs, bacon, french toast, waffles) and cold (oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and cereal) along with pastries. Juices, tea and coffee as well. Location is downtown, great walking to lots of history and food. Park is close by as well as the Mississippi river is a short 3 block walk. I have been impressed with this hotel and will stay here again when in Quincy."

"Awesome place to stay! I stayed here for 1 night on a business trip and I wish we could have stayed longer. The room was very clean and had many lamps to add brightness. Ac was adjustable to the perfect temperature and not too loud. Pillows were a little too soft to my liking but overall the bed was comfy. No tub but bathroom was spacious and clean. I recommend this place! Also the desk staff were so nice!!"

"This is definitely my favorite quality inn. I cannot say enough great things about this place. They treat you like family. The front desk is so accommodating and will take great care of you. The breakfast is very good the k-cup machine in your room is awesome!! Any time you come or go they welcome you. The beds are amazing channel options while relaxing are nice. I'll be back a million more times. Will always stay here!!"

"Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good as well. The only complaint about that was the lady who prepares the breakfast was extremely rude. She acted like people that were there to eat were an inconvenience for her. We even said good morning to her and she did not even respond a word back. There is a bar also near by that had a live band outdoors that happened to be playing that night. It was extremely loud. You could hear it throughout the hotel. They were allowed to play until midnight which made it very hard to sleep."
