CityVet - Preston Park

"Horrible and traumatizing experience. I was a new client/new patient and upon making the appointment for a regular check up, I informed reception and vet staff my cat is very fractious and won’t let anyone handle him but me, they assured me I would be able to assist the vet during the exam for my pet to remain comfortable and calm. During the exam the vet barged in the room, quickly asked me to open the carrier, I explained the situation that it would be best if I hold the cat while he examines him, but he rudely refused and proudly stated he’s a “cat whisperer” and knows how to handle fractious cats. The vet then grabbed my cat and began to roughly examine him! My cat obviously reacted by hissing and scratching the veterinarian then jumping off the exam table. Before we could grab him the veterinarian OPENED the exam room allowing my loose cat to run out of the room to the open reception area, slamming his face repeatedly on the glass doors until he bled out!!! After many failed attempts they finally caught him, sedated him all for a simple physical exam which I was then charged over $200 for their malpractice!! I have never in my life seen a more unprofessional and inexperienced veterinarian and staff, who opens an exam room with a loose fractious cat?! And then continues to charge the owner for their staffs mistake!! Luckily the cat doesn’t have permanent injuries due to their neglect. I would not recommend."

"My senior dog needed a dental cleaning because his teeth were starting to smell terrible. I was extremely nervous for the procedure and went to 4 vets to get a feel on the facility and the vet who would perform the procedure. As soon as I came to Cityvet and met Dr. McGuire I instantly knew this was the place to go to! He was friendly and made me feel at ease. The procedure went well and my dog is 10x more happier. We are incredibly grateful for CityVet on Preston Park!!!!!!!"

"We have been taking our dogs for grooming to Jessica for around 18 years, so we followed her from North Dallas to CityVet when she started working there. It's a beautiful office, I really like the how the grooming room is set up where you can see in and how the dogs are kept in kennels in the same room she is. Not to mention, everyone who works there is very nice, and of course, Jessica is the best groomer in the city."
