Comfort Inn Ottawa Starved Rock Area

"The room was full of Glade plug-in fragrance. So much so that I had a headache within 30 minutes. The staff have a problem, they do not clean the toilet or shower. There was feces all over the toilet and wall. We would have left but didn't see that till we went into the bathroom before we left. Did I mention that the front desk employee was smoking weed. So, I wanted to leave pictures, but I will let you decide for yourself. I should have driven down the road a bit longer."

"We were very disappointed in our stay here. I RARELY ever review places but this has to be said. We stayed here once awhile back and thought it was decent so decided on our way through we would stay again. Unfortunately this was a bad decision. In the room directly next to ours there were about 6 kids with one elderly lady to take care of them. These kids were very roudy and obnoxious. We waited about 3-4 hours to calm down and settle. After all that time these children were STILL jumping off the beds and screaming along with running down the hallways and slamming doors. We called to make a noise complaint (which we had to call twice since there was only one person working the whole building). We decided to go downstairs at the front desk to make a noise complaint since the kids were still roudy 30 minutes after our call. When we went down. The worker essentially told us they were family friends of someone who worked there. The man tried to make excuses for them but it was getting late (nearing 10:00) and we were all ready for bed. While we did get one room moved we still had another room across the hall from this family. They continued till after 12 pm. Our noise complaint fell on deaf ears. We will unfortunately not be returning again. Aside from all that the cleanliness is in question. We had multiple sheets with large red stains and in our second room there was a large red stain in the carpet."

"Must have all new staff because was told several times I’m new here. I’m just a front desk clerk I don’t know you’ll have to speak to the general manager, but the general manager was never available!!! Found bed bugs, took it to the front desk. Then the next day was told there was no bugs in the room. Needed to extended the stay was told that was fine then at 5 o’clock at night was told I needed to leave and they where not extending my stay because I told them they had bed bugs and they didn’t! I TOOK THE BUG UP TO THE FRONT DESK! Showed them the photo the next day and was told I could have taken that photo anywhere. General manager never returned my called then charged me almost double what everyone else in my group paid!!!"

"This hotel has to be the most quiet room I’ve ever had! Heater and refrigerator were quiet too. Liked the couch,desk, and luggage bench. Sarah at the front desk is the sweetest person!! And so helpful with any questions or concerns. Liked the free breakfast."

"The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. Stayed 3 days and was the price wasn't bad. They have a pool and hot tub. Breakfast wasn't bad it's a continental breakfast. Get good TV channels and overall the stay was very good. And there is plenty of things to do around the area (Walmart and restaurants up the road) so I recommend it if you gotta stop somewhere."
