"VCVS was able to see my cat immediately with basically no waiting time when she had an anal gland burst. The tech who took me back was really warm and welcoming and took time to pet my cat and learn a little about her. Dr Bruce took great care of her - they sedated her, cleaned up the site, gave her some antibiotics and sent us home with pain meds and a big ol' cone to keep her from licking. She ran some additional labs due to my cat's medical history, and getting normal results from those definitely reduced my worries. I felt the cost was fair and appropriate for how promptly we were seen and the quality of the service. My girl is healing great, and all the records were sent to our regular vet so I can follow up there. Also, the front desk staff were incredibly sweet and chatted with me while I was waiting, and even invited me back to sit by the space heater (this was during the cold snap). I really appreciated their company. Ripley says thanks, y'all!"

"My family and I were on Thanksgiving vacation with our two dogs when it became clear our 12 year old German Shepherd wasn't going to make it through our trip. After calling around the Austin area late in the evening on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, we weren't having much luck in finding anyone to accommodate us during a very difficult time. Then, just as we were about to give up, cancel the rest of our trip, and return home 200 miles away, we were referred to Violet Crown Veterinary Specialists. What a blessing they were!!! I walked in after 8pm and explained our situation to Michelle who was working the front desk. She spoke with an on staff veterinarian and they agreed to help us immediately. Dr. Tabares and Jonathan were amazing and so caring in giving us all of the time we needed to say our goodbyes. I have to say that EVERYONE we came into contact with at VCVS are the most kind and caring people you could ever want to have assist with your beloved pet. We decided to have our girl "Jinger" privately cremated. The rosewood urn with her name plaque and remains that we received a few days later is absolutely beautiful. Also, the paw and nose prints, hair tuft, etc. that we received in the package we selected are very special mementos for us. I can say this for 1000% sure...if we lived in the Austin/Lakeway area, there is absolutely nowhere else I would consider taking my pets than Violet Crown Veterinary Specialists! We have actually half seriously joked that it would be awesome to just move to the area, knowing we would have access to the best veterinary care ANYWHERE!!! Thank you VCVS!!!!!!!"

"Dr. Tabares helped us with our Petunia when we had to say goodbye after trying everything to save her. The team was so kind and compassionate, and it was a peaceful goodbye. Dr. Kennedy was great to work with. Her team amputated our puppies' deformed leg that would have caused a problem as he grew bigger. Dr. Might helped us the year before at another hospital since he was mobile then. We adopted a puppy that was hit by a car and had two broken legs. That puppy is now 75lbs and can jump, run, and is loving life! Everyone has been great to work with there!"

"This place is amazing. We took our dog here while we were visiting over thanksgiving. They took such good care of him, were incredibly knowledgeable and went above and beyond with having their specialists review his charts. At the end what was so shocking was how reasonably priced their professional services were. For the first time we truly didn’t think we were being taken advantage of financially when it comes to pet care and services were above and beyond what we later received back in Denver for our other dog for the same treatment that ended up costing us 3x the price. I truly hope the community supports this amazing business so they can keep providing such a wonderful service at a fair price. Also just want to let y’all know Billy’s (already planned) surgery the next week went great and he is recovering so well. We are so grateful to you for helping him so quickly so he could still have his surgery!"
