Petland Bellaire

"My friend and I walked into this establishment, and we were assumed to be with a group of other black women after being limited to only seeing two dogs. Personally, I was told I can only see one other dog, and I asked the employee to clarify whether my friend and I or all of us in the corner he said all of us said, sir, we did not come with those other women do you assume that all Black people come together he said “yes I do” clearly i then alerted him that his statement was racist and unacceptable. He continued to make jokes, and then after he saw that I was serious and not happy with his remark, he began yelling, and I alerted him that I thought his statement was racist. He then yelled about how he wasn’t racist and he couldn’t be racist and was yelling over me the entire time. Then, instead of going back-and-forth with him, which he was happy to do in his place of business at the top of his lungs, I decided to come outside and make a review recording the other women driving off while sitting in my vehicle then I turn around to record the door and open the door to see the employee on camera. He then proceeds to walk up to the door. I walk off and he closes the door and lock it then blows a kiss while talking about more unnecessary things that are not workplace appropriate. I was able to get a video and a picture of the behavior so you can see his level of professionalism. This is completely inappropriate! to be a disabled army veteran and be treated like that is crazy asking for clarification! I genuinely was in here just trying to get good vibes from puppies and see if I can get my son a little brother this is not how you treat people and if you guys hire people they think that racism is a joke. Then I would happily share this information with everyone that I possibly can know so they don’t have to go through the same thing that we just went through and I’m glad that we were strong enough to stop speaking back with this young man and decide to leave. Here’s a video and a few shots. Hopefully my next experience here will be different if I decide to come back."

"After many years of not having a dog in the family because of living in an apartment and the hassle that goes with it. I made the decision to get myself and the family a puppy. I knew what kind I wanted. An English bulldog. I did my research beforehand and went to purchase the new member of the family. Petland, did their sale, and I got my puppy. Jelly Bean was sadly only with the family a week when she suffered from aspiration phenomena and passed away. Now, I have been waiting nearly two months for their petland solution to honor the policy they claim to have. Well, I finally got a response from them. They claim that they are not liable for aspiration phenomena and would not honor their replacement policy. Now I'm out a puppy and thousands of dollars. I will not recommend petland to a friend or family member ever. Petland, you have let me and my family down. I say this to anyone going to petland. Go somewhere else."

"Jasmine was amazing. She made us feel super comfortable with the pups and gave us every piece of information we were wondering. She didn’t pressure us when we decided it wasn’t best and we really appreciated her assistance"

"I stopped by, yesterday, to see the puppies and maybe find one for our family. Jasmine helped me and was absolutely the best! She brought me the cutest little puppy named Trixie Mattel (!!!) and sat in the private space with me to explain all the details and benefits of adopting with Petland. She never once pressured me or made me feel like I HAD TO PURCHASE right then and there. It felt like two friends having an informed and delightful conversation (while being covered in puppy kisses!) I will DEFINITELY be returning on Friday when Jasmine works again, to see the other puppy that wasn’t quite ready to be handled, before we make our decision on whether or not we will be getting one of them. As far as the facility goes, I felt it was very well maintained and layman friendly. The pups all seemed happy, healthy, and well cared for. Thank you Jasmine for your help and please give Trixie extra kisses for me!"
