"No Dogs allowed! I don't get it. What would a dog on leash can do to a dirt trail?"

"I have never encountered so many forest preserves that don't allow dogs in one area. I'm sure there's some sort of reason for it, But I didn't think to check because I have never encountered it before until today. It technically specifies no pets, so I suppose cats are also not allowed."

"Less known, very quiet and has lot of trails. Entrance is by the sign!"

"A peaceful place to get away, right in your own back yard. A decent downhill walk brings you to an old bridge over a chuckling freshwater stream where kids can see frogs, crayfish, fish, and any number of fun insects living in the grasses, and listen to tons of birds calling. Forest, some bluffs along the stream, fields, some wet crossings for the adventurous, hills, and a connection to Severson and Funderburg, you can spend days walking this area and never see everything."
