After enrollment, my experience was challenging because I had no prior trucking knowledge. "It was a good trucking school for the may- July 2019 class. Everything was efficient for obtaining a CLP to learning the pre trip to maneuvers. My truck only had 2 people so I had plenty of time in the 1-2 weeks of driver training before the test. Only downside is, the trucks are old and beaten up and the ac is not great in 100F El paso summer and when your not driving, your sitting in just a covered area at the yard. Still a great school then in 2019, a fantastic program that allows you to spend the last 2-3 months of your contract to obtain a skill before leaving the army. Your unit won't like it though and beleive you are shamming and just trying to get out of work instead of using your gi bill to have obtain a skill which will grant you an easy job opportunity after leaving the army."
"They have some great instructors and I can say I did enjoy it. I unfortunately attended when they were low on staff and a few trucks were broke down but can't hold that against them because I got a good amount of time behind the wheel and had no problems passing."
"After diesel mechanic school I wanted to be a commercial truck driver and Phoenix truck driving was my choice all the endorsements were included in my tuition. I am happy to say my Post 911 GI Bill paid for my tuition. The instructors were very knowledgeable and the equipment was up to the task. The programs on the tablet really gave me the tools to succeed. Also the job placement part was great they bring all kinds of companies in to recruit drivers from this school. I would most definitely recommend this school to any person wanted to get their CDL and looking to expand their options for a career."
