"I was given "fair warning" by an unpleasant employee for having more than 10 items in self check out. I don't really want to go back there now."

"I want to compliment Schnucks employees Tracee and Rhonda for the excellent help they gave me yesterday. I had locked my keys in my car after shopping. My purse, phone and all my ids were in there. I went back into the store and Tracee helped me cal AAA and even gave me a water while I had an hours wait. After an hour and a half no help arrived. Rhonda stepped in arranged for me to have a short ride to my house to pick up an extra set of keys and return to the store. I can’t tell you how much this meant to me as I was totally stranded. I will never forget their kindness. I offered them money but Rhonda refused and asked me to pay it forward. You just don’t find people of this caliber very often. You are fortunate to have employees who really care about their customers. I will continue to shop at your store where I feel safe and the employees are really helpful. Pattie Smith"

"I ordered 40 pieces of fried chicken to be pickup at 12:30pm Sunday the 17th. Unfortunately the chicken was over cooked and dry. I was totally disappointed especially for the amount of money it cost me. I gave the 2 stars because the order was ready at the time designated for pickup."

"Giving this store one star is being kind, but it is the minimum rating which seems mandatory to write a review. I recently had another experience with an employee, regarding trying to fix/resolve a lottery machine error. Mostly, it seems to me, that the employees forget that they are the people who are 'on the clock' working, and that I don't have 30 minutes to wait around while they grouse and groan about the lottery machines and how they wish they would go away. The employee responsible this particular time said she didn't know much about the machine and would not be able to reconcile the error and refund my money(this is common). At this point I tell her that I'm short on time and to just keep everything together, talk to whoever is responsible, and call me tomorrow. I was called and told that I could come by and pick up my $63, but they were not going to refund the additional $12, which is for the ticket that was destroyed when the machine jammed, causing this whole incident. I went to the store today and the same employee- I think her name is 'Christine'-, was there again. This time she said that she remembered me and that they don't have my $63 because she clearly remembers giving to me that same morning. She seems totally unaware that the Store called me and that I have the message stating that they have my $63. This woman was rude and confrontational. I told her I was writing her name down and she immediately covered her name tag with her hand, preventing me from being certain of her name. So I could only refer to her as, "idiot", and left the store without my money, which is $75. I play a lot of lottery so I unfortunately need to interact with what seems to have become, "The rudest Stores in Town", and a long way from "The Friendliest stores in town". They do have 2 very helpful and polite people at this particular store who have been very helpful and don't bring a bunch of drama."

"I've been shopping at this store for 17 years, but I'll be going elsewhere. Once again, I was one of several people with full carts waiting, waiting, waiting on the lone cashier, and, once again, the manager did her best to ignore us until someone walked up to her and complained. It doesn't matter what day during the week or what time, they are always understaffed. I regularly have to bag my own groceries. The scanners are a nightmare, fussy and always locking up. If I'm going to be expected to scan and bag my own items, the scanners need to work, and I should get a discount on my products for the free labor they are getting out of me. Out of curiosity, I went to another Schnucks immediately afterward today's nightmare, and there were plenty of cashiers and baggers, they were smiling and friendly, and the manager actually wished me a nice day. So it's not the Schnucks chain--it's this store."
