"Your mouth will explode with all the wonderful foods you will find here. The paella was perfect for 2-3 people. The salmon dishes were perfect. Oh, and try the gumbo. The gum was not what I was expecting, it was better. The restaurant is small and very old world cozy. As a bigger group of 12 we had to break up into two tables. But, the staff was super accommodating. Had a great time. Would happily go again."
"Olde Madrid is one of those restaurants you just know is going to be good when you walk in the door and the smell of spices hits your olfactory and you just start salivating at the flavors you can't wait to taste. Nestled on 6th Street in Racine, Olde Madrid has been running for quite some time in downtown Racine by owners Manny and Natalie Salinas. Their emphasis on family and quality food can be seen from the Spanish tapas that are served to Chef Manny's laughter filling the room as he visits patrons to make sure everyone is happy and having a great time. The Gumbo is not to be missed as it is a signature dish and a hit every time we come with friends. I really would recommend just about sampling everything on the menu as it is unique and flavorful from Almond meatballs to Seafood Paella. Chef Manny really puts his heart and soul into his food, and you can tell by every bite! This is a great stop before or after catching a show at 6th Street Theatre, as well! Give it a try if you're Racine, you will certainly be rewarded!"
"I've heard nothing but good things about this place for years! Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Every single thing we had was new to me and absolutely amazing!! If you're a meat lover, I definitely suggest the Argentinian skirt steak. And the steak pialla is to die for! The filet melts in your mouth. They have delicious vegetarian dishes as well.. We had a large group, and everything got served family style, so there was lots of sharing and tasting. It threw me off a bit at first that dishes come out randomly at different times, but I quickly adapted and understood that everything gets made fresh to order. Some take longer than others, and everything is served fresh and hot as soon as it is done. I can not wait to go back and try more things! My only regret is that I waited so long to come here!!"
