"I strongly advise against choosing Cane Island as a place of residence due to the presence of extremely racist individuals and severe mismanagement issues. The ongoing mismanagement has resulted in consistently high and escalating Homeowners Association (HOA) fees. The community is characterized by self-centered individuals who dominate local groups, behaving as if they own Cane Island. It is recommended to steer clear of individuals such as Vickie Furlow Windland, Ilich Ramirez, and a few others, along with their supporters, who are often described as eccentric or problematic—very rude people. Our personal experience prompted us to sell our house within a few months, and we now reside in a more positive and well-managed community."

"Cane Island Community recently hosted a captivating car show by West Houston Muscle, and it was an absolute delight! Despite the chilly weather, the atmosphere was both fun and serene. The crowd was remarkably calm, creating an exciting yet relaxed vibe. A special shoutout to the West Houston Muscle tent for providing free coffee and donuts, adding a warm touch to the event. The perfect blend of entertainment and community spirit made it a memorable experience for everyone involved."

"On 11/30/2017 I purchased a Coventry Home in Oak Pointe that listed for $514,999 for myself and my 77 year old mother after losing my home in Hurricane Harvey on 8/23/2017. I was told by Ericka De Jong that the house was a model home was built and was for sale in September 2015. I bought the home and my mother acquired stage 4 Breast Cancer in 2018. Also, I passed away for 42 minutes on March 3, 2022 before Dr. Bing saved my life in Memorial Herman Hospital. I had a scientist come into my house and he found a mold count of 1,520,000 in my walls. The scientist documented on 9/26/2017 that my home was uninhabitable. The walls should all be under 1,000 mold count to be safe. Far from 1,520,000 mold count in my Coventry Home in a gated community. Steve"
