"I took my Girl Scout troop to the museum as a field trip, and they loved it! Josh, who runs the museum was super accommodating, knowledgeable, great with the girls, and helpful. He gave the girls a scavenger hunt, which they loved! He and a docent also took time to show the girls different exhibits and let them have some hands on time with a few of them. I highly recommend this gem in Old Katy."

"The Katy Heritage Museum is a treasure trove of local history. Staff members Josh and Sharon were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to answer all of our questions. Our first visit was so enjoyable, we returned a week later to check out more of the interesting displays. A separate facility housed in the restored MKT depot on First Street focuses on Katy's railroad heritage. It is without question one of the finest depot restorations in the state of Texas."

"Friendly staff. They have a mechanical piano (historical). With permission you can tickle the ivory. Large working train set. This place is a live historical building with lots of references to the growth of Katy. You will understand what MKT means and it’s linkage to Katy."

"The museum was very organized and clean. The exhibitions were well taking care of. They have a lot of interesting pieces of phones, magazines, cars and many others different objects from the history of Katy. They also have a small park outside where you may walk and see the old houses they have. Unfortunately they didn't have access to see them inside. There's a gazebo as well. It is nice for a photoshoot. The entrance is completely free. When we went it was empty. We were the only ones there (in the museum and at the park)."
