"FFL Fail. We set up a transfer and shipped my firearm over FOUR WEEKS AGO. I reached out to them and left multiple messages. Houston Outfitters has never answered the phone or responded. No one opens the door at the store after a couple visits. Zero response, horrible service. Four weeks later, still no firearm. Update: Blake had to take care of something personal, and since he's the only one in the shop no one could cover. He returned my call after most of it was settled and we set up a time to make the transfer. Super nice, quick and professional, so I give him 5 stars now."

"Dealt with them a number of times and always left the store pleased. Blake and his team are extremely friendly and the prices are reasonable. My favorite aspect of the store is the high end firearms. Hard to find fighting shotguns like the FN or Benelli's as well as high end 1911s are usually available in the store. If you are looking for a store that has more of a personal touch then this is for you. This is my go to store in Houston!"

"My husband and I went up to this shop to purchase a handgun. They were extremely professional and very courteous. We found their knowledge about guns and their accessories to be very high. They had a wide variety of guns at reasonable prices. I personally found them a lot more approachable than other shops in the area. They took their time with us and showed us how to properly disassemble the gun, particularly good for a relative novice like myself. I would and will return to this store for all of our gun needs."

"I've been shooting for around 7 years, a close friend of mine got me into it and I would regularly go to the range with his family to shoot their array of weapons. While not nearly as experienced as other enthusiasts I can say with certainty that this shop was great. I went in to pick up what would be my first own firearm. The fee to accept an out of state firearm was only thirty dollars here, which was better than several other places I had called. While I filled out some paperwork Clay was more than happy to chat with me, and upon learning that this was actually my first gun he told me what he knew about it and even showed me the best way to clean and maintain it. He also showed me the rounds they had in stock and explained the difference between what would be good home defense rounds and what would be good for target shooting at the range. We also talked about some of the guns they had in the shop as I had noticed a particular 1911 that turned out to be a Les Baer which I had been looking for previously but had no luck in finding around some of the other gun shops that I know of. Clay informed me that they were interested in keeping in stock rarer weapons that you wouldn't normally see at gun shops. And they did in fact have some very nice fire arms. The shop is on the smaller size which seems to effect the amount of weapons they keep on location, but they are more than willing to find what you may be looking for through their suppliers. Overall i'm more than satisfied with my experience and have found my shop. I will absolutely be returning when I look to add to my collection."
