"I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Houston Skate & Sports. A group of skating friends and I who are all adult beginner/intermediate skaters were in need of new boots and we'd heard phenomenal things about HSSO, so we made the drive down from OKC over the weekend. I called ahead a few weeks before and spoke with Ray, who was very helpful in getting us all scheduled and blocking out time for us to have our fitting appointments at the same time. When we arrived for our appointment, Patti walked us through determining our best skates for our specific needs and observed how we walked closely to make her suggestions about skates and insoles. She asked lots of questions and was very thorough. Then Katie helped me with my fitting, and she was also lovely and very knowledgeable. She listened to my concerns and explained how the skates should fit/feel for each specific brand, then showed me Edea lacing since I ended up making the switch from Jacksons. The friends I came with have equally as high of praise as I do for Patti and the team--one of my friend's blades had been messed up by a previous sharpener, and they were able to fix it and ensure she didn't need to buy new blades, as they were only a few months old. All in all, if you're looking for the most thorough and wonderful skate fitting experience, Houston Skate & Sports is the place to go!! It was well worth our 15 hour round trip drive."
