"I had an appointment on 2/3/24 at 8:30 am for 2 tires, of which I put a $25.00 deposit down to reserve the service. Once I arrived at the store at 8:25 it was crowded and disoriented. I got in line and was told the computer systems were down, but they were still taking customers. Immediate red flag, however, I was assured over and over again my tires would get installed timely with no issues checking out. My car was serviced at my appointment time, but the issue began with paying for my service. The manager of the store asked me for my payment, and I pay with debit. Because the systems were down my card couldn't be scanned so he took the info and assured me he would call it in once the computers were back up. I was extremely hesitant to give my card info, but, again, being a lifetime customer, I trusted the process. BIG MISTAKE. After this my nightmare began. I was double charged (one charge didn't take out the $25 deposit,) I had to wait 4 business days to get credited $397.10 and had to cancel my debit card - which I have connected to literally everything I pay for. It's taken this entire month to switch my card to another and get my financial affairs in order. I got no apology, no call back, nothing for the huge and horrible inconvenience I was given for a service provided to me. Adding I was so patient and kind to the workers when they were overwhelmed with not only the computers being down, but a brand-new mechanic attempting to check me out as well. I thanked them profusely and even shook their hands when I left. Other customers may not have been so nice. I'm writing this review because I sincerely hope if any Discount Tire locations ever experiences a computer outage that instead of performing services, the store should temporarily be halted until payments can be successfully processed. I'm not angry about the system being down, I'm angry and very disappointed with the way it was handled. I could have easily told the manager I wasn't giving him my debit card info, and then what would have happened? My tires were already put on my car. I will never return to any Discount Tire locations, there are plenty of places to go that would not treat a customer this way. No stars."

"I will never go anywhere else! Shout out to Roger who is so kind and helped me ... even when I accidentally booked an appointment at a different location right before a snow storm. The entire staff goes out of their way to make the experience friendly and fast. Love the app!!"

"Been to this location many times and always great service! Today I had an appointment for 3, I got there before 230 because my last errand was much quicker than expected. I knew I needed new tires because another discount tire wouldn’t service them a few months ago. The man who helped me (the receipt said Robert) informed me that I definitely need new tires but my tires are still serviceable (I did think it was strange the other location wouldn’t rotate them because the tread still wasn’t in their red zone). They had comparable tires to my current ones in stock and I was told it would be by 4pm. So I walked over to one of the fast food restaurants and prepared to sit for a while but got a text at 307 that my tires and wipers were done already! Always pretty quick service no matter how busy they are."

"We have used this Joliet location multiple times and have always been pleased. On Thursday we had my sons car towed there with two flat tires and talked to them on the phone to discuss replacement options. The salesman agreed to call my son when they got the car. It turned out the existing tires were an easy repair which they did and charged us nothing! You have lifelong customers!"
