Fry the Coop (Darien)

"I would not eat here, at least not at night. I placed an Uber eats order yesterday and got it at 730pm. The chicken I received was raw and I also was given the wrong drink. Don't know if the night cooks just didn't care whatsoever if the food was properly cooked but they need to be checking that thick of a piece of chicken with a thermometer if they aren't cutting it to make sure. I wouldn't waste my time with this place ever again. Don't pride your whole restaurant on think cut chicken sandwiches and not even make sure that they are cooked all the way. I had two bites out of my sandwich before noticing it was kind of pink and then decided to check the one I got for my boyfriend. When I say raw, it was still pink and jiggly in the middle. I sent in a complaint to Uber eats since that's who I ordered through. Sent them pictures of the sandwiches and threw the food away. I started to feel funky couple hours later. And didn't want to end up in the hospital with food poisoning so I made myself throw up as much as I could. It was fun thinking I was gonna get a good chicken sandwich and then dealing with all that the rest of the night. Best believe if I end up in the hospital, I will be send the bill your restaurants way."

"Got the spicy butter chicken sandwich and seasoned fries. Sandwich was good and tasty. Total came to 18 bucks, so a bit pricey for just a chicken sandwich. Extremely limited choice."

"One of the best chicken sandwiches place in the area!!! The bun is so good and fresh. Chicken is good size but the best is the topping and you can pick your own hotness of the sauce! Menu is not huge but delicious! Great decor and lots of parking space. Highly recommend it for quick bite or dinner with family and friends."

"My goodness the chicken is so delicious! I got the Nashville in medium heat and it was the bomb! Exquisitely delicious fried to perfection of crispy and juicy with just the right amount of spices! My mouth is watering just thinking of it! And the tangy sweetness brings perfect contrast! The potato salad was great too but the messy fries were too good with the sauce and slaw and chicken chunks mmmm mmm mmm! Definitely will be coming back for more! Also gotta give credit to the girl working there, black girl with short hair, she was super nice, very helpful and was running the whole store like a boss! Very impressive! Considering this was my first time buying from here my experience was amazing!"

"First time, trying this place and I liked it. Place was clean. The service was good although they were sold out on some items on the menu. Nashville fried chicken was delicious. I ordered a mild spice level but I’ll go up a level next time. Chicken breast was moist and just enough crisp. Bun was perfect for the chicken. I usually don’t eat coleslaw on top of my chicken but this works. Fries were good especially with cheese sauce. Fries had just the right amount of seasoning, not too salty. Chicken and waffles were equally as good. Moist chicken breast on top of a homemade waffle is a great combination. Waffle had a nice flavor especially when adding that spicy honey butter and maple syrup. I would come back here to try more menu items."
