"Food was good but too pricey. Rating the atmosphere a "2" due to noise level, and 3 for service. If you want to hear your table partner talk (or hear yourself think) this is not the place. Dishes are bussed then piled into a 3-tier rack - right near tables. Each "crash" was unsettling. Further, the open concept means all sound reverberates throughout, including the kitchen area which is *inside* this space also. This old Applebees needs some sound barriers. As for service, our server was nice but never came back to ask if all was okay. Nor did he offer a refill on coffee ($2.99/cup), we had to ask as he brought us the bill. Also, while my biscuits & gravy was good, these were the smallest biscuits I've ever had with this dish. For the price, I expected full-size biscuits. Probably won't return due to the prices, but might possibly try a lavender latte during their slow time....which would be...(when?), maybe just before they close at 3pm(??). Note that I blocked the faces of customers for privacy in photos. And circled the source of constant "crash!" from dishes being bussed right next to tables."

"Not good for vegans. Changing to one star because it's been about an hour and my stomach is hurting. Didn't eat anything other than here. Review: I will say that I have not found a decent breakfast place in the suburb area. For some reason it seems like expectations for the area are very low. This place was busy, like any other breakfast place in the burbs. We order the spicy sausage (SPICY SAUSAGE) breakfast sandwich, Vegan "skillet", and eggs benedict. First the spicy sausage breakfast sandwich. Sausage not spicy and tastes like the second to lowest tier sausage you can order from a food service provider. It was gross and had so much fat in the patty it was terrible. The Jalapeno Cheddar biscuit that it was on was severely undercooked and seen in the pictures. Yes, I asked the server to take the biscuit back to the kitchen to show them how undercooked it was, might be the reason I was sick. The eggs on the sandwich were just your normal chopped up eggs instead of some form that would go on a sandwich. Silicone rings to make them like that are less than a dollar. The hash browns that came with it, my god they tasted like water. Terrible, no flavor hashbrowns. Salt or pepper or ANYTHING would make them so much better than the straight out of the box hashbrowns. The vegan "skillet", at the top of their menu under skillets it states skillets come with two eggs (I understand why this doesn't) but the vegan skillet which is $3 more come with NO eggs at all. Not a skillet. You want vegan eggs, $4 more! even though you are not getting eggs and paying more to begin with. Vegan chorizo is not that much more than regular to do this to customers. Not to mention, there is just too much soy chorizo, cut it in half, add the egss for no extra. A vegan skillet should not cost $20. Eggs benedict were adequate, but same with the water hashbrowns. Service was adequate, it was busy, got one visit while eating. Seems like more emphasis was put on the building and decoration than the food and menu. Some advice to the owner. Take the salt and pepper off the tables and see how many people ask for it, have the servers record it and you will see how bad your food is when customers have to season it themselves. Rename the biscuit. It is correct on the receipt. It should be Jalapeno Cheddar biscuit sausage sandwich which is more to the truth of what it is."

"Adorable restaurant that is decorated with a down-home country vibe and everything bees. This was my second time here, and the food never disappoints. Servings are extremely generous. Service was a tad slower than previous experience, but I think they were slightly short-staffed and it was not a huge issue. I love this place and come here every chance I get."

"Happy vegan! I’m in town for a friends wedding and I found this place through other reviews. I was very happy with the vegan skillet option and even happier when it had a great flavor and great entree size. The sourdough toast was very very good. Overall an extremely good experience. The only areas of feedback I’d like to give would be vegan friendly pancakes. I was bummed about the upcharge (since the non vegan ones come with two eggs) of the Just Egg but understand specialty items. They also had a few more vegan options available on the seasonal menu. My server was very helpful and gave good service. 4 stars on “atmosphere” because it was a little loud from nearby conversations but I was here solo and listened to music on my headphones. My coffee stayed full and my stomach left full too."

"We ordered 2by2/2, chicken friend steak, pancakes and avocado over toast, grits and poached eggs. All the meals were phenomenal but the fried chicken was dried. I would recommend the honey/hot tea and avocado over toast. Service: Our waitress was great but coffee and water refills were slow. There were plenty of help wearing black shirts but about five were just standing around and offer no help. If you go be prepare to wait on coffee and water or anything else you need."
