Applebee's Grill + Bar

"Went two different times about 2 months apart and both times we walked in to sit at the bar. When we sit down, there is no one in site of the bar, servers are walking around us, seeing we have not even been greeted and choose not to say anything, doesn’t think to go get the bartender nothing. Sat there both times for a solid 10/15 min the first time and the second about 5 because I was irritated that it happened yet again and left. It was like we were completely invisible, atleast say hey someone will be with you when they can, and no it was not busy, there was 2 older people at the bar already eating and us and then one table already done eating just hanging out at their table and another that just sat down. Atleast acknowledge us. Just sad because the food is usually delicious when we finally get service. Do better."

"The food was horrible and it was our servers first day and no one was helping him and it took so long for our drinks and food. I ordered a margarita and it tasted like hand sanitizer and the neighborhood nachos had about a teaspoon of hamburger meat and the irresistible bowl with the shrimp didn't have any seasoning. I will not be going back again."

"I'm done with Applebee's!! The food hasn't been the same since 2019. I ordered a Shrimp parmesan medium Steak and it's hard as a rock and not pink. The parmesan is thick and cold. You all need to hire quality cooks. Since no one is answering the phone tonight, I will be calling tomorrow for a refund!!"

"Went in for a later dinner and food was so so. Chicken tortilla soup tasted like chicken broth with spice horrible. Manager served it and took it back was acredc flag to me then. Took off bill that wad fine. Certain things not to order later I've learned tonite. But orher food looked great and was enjoyed."

"They have gone downhill. I was there three days ago, on a Saturday, and the wait was over an hour, not because they were crowded, not because of reduced capacity guidelines for covid, but because they were only using 5 tables. All 5 in close proximity of each other. Then the food comes. The mozzarella sticks were delicious- hot, fresh and pretty perfect, but clearly a fluke based on the entrees we got. My sons' chicken tenders were hard and dried out and my salmon was dry, but after the long wait, I opted out of sending anything back. We just ate what we could and got out of there. And with only 5 tables, server wasn't coming to check on us often. Refills were needed but by the time she was back we were ready to go. Get it together, Applebee's Swansea, IL!!"
