"Jeremiah Joe is located in a great location downtown and has a large building. The layout of the space is a little uninspired with a ton of open space so it seems a bit empty. The drinks are always served quickly which is great since some coffee shops can be very slow. Unfortunately the drink quality seems to be very inconsistent. There have been times where the drink I got was good but just as many times where I was disappointed in my drink. Most recently I ordered a cold brew with a splash of milk/cream and one of the seasonal lattes. The cold brew came out as a very lightly coffee flavored milk--I could barely tell there was coffee in it. The latte, or at least what I thought was a latte (espresso + steamed milk), had coffee sourced from what looked like a drip coffee machine rather than a freshly pulled espresso shot, and in the end it was not a very good coffee. Honestly the only thing that keeps us coming back is that it's the only non-chain coffee place in the area when we're passing through and we always hope that we'll have one of those days where the drinks are good."
"Nice coffee spot in Ottawa with real espresso and good bakery options! The space is a bit big and kinda poorly filled with furniture. Cool spot in old building with seating in sunny window. Had a tasty speciality latte"
"Went in to get out of the rain and had a popular fall coffee drink. It was delicious! The barista was very kind and knew ehat she was ser ing me. I really liked that! They had a cool table setting I liked. . And two men were in a heated chess game."
"Was visiting family for a few days and stopped here- then went back everyday I was there! Most places don’t serve ice coffee properly- they do, it’s actually cold! Very friendly staff. Large sitting area. Wait time was a little long but well worth it. They treat each person like they are the only one there- I am willing to wait for great service and great coffee!"
