"This place has been here forever, and there's a reason for that. It's got decent food and prices. It's hard not to stop in for a bite to eat when back in the area. That leaves other places unexplored, but it's like going to a restaurant and always getting your favorite dish and not trying other things. The Double Breaded CheeseBurger is the cult classic here. You just can't find them anywhere else. I like the liver and onions, and the fried chicken is wonderful. I'm not a fan of coated fries, but everything else I've had here over the years has been wonderful. I wish there were more places like Ziggie's."
"Burgers slap here. (Slap being a term for "amazing, good, great, cool" for slang) I have lived in Mendota for years and go here every once in a while. Absolutely love it. Food comes out in just 10-15 minutes typically, hot and fresh. I also love their Gyro Roll! Waitresses friendly 95% of the time unless they're having a bad day which is understandable."
"An authentic old school neighborhood family restaurant catering mainly to the local clientele. You seat yourself and it seemed everyone knew each other. Huge menu selection and prices are reasonable. Had 2 biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs. Biscuits were huge and fluffy. The gravy was very tasty. Also had the mushroom omelette with hash browns. Everything is made to order and served piping hot. Portions are huge. For a good home cooked tasting meal,Ziggies is the place to go. You might even enjoy the 70s decor..lol."
"No wait for breakfast about 8am on a Sunday morning. Large menu with your standard American options. Hash brown potatoes and they make skillets! Quick and friendly service with large portions. Ready for my nap now!"
"I always love coming here to eat and decent enough to order and eat at home too. Life saving to have a partner pick you up some food when sick. Not overpriced at all for a home cooked meal. Eat in to get complimentary soup, always excellent as well."
