"Great service. Server visited our table almost too much. The food was ready so fast it took us by surprise. The food is good, but it is very basic like you would make at home. The prices seem to reflect this so the balance is good. The place is a perfect breakfast diner."
"Service is phenomenal! We stopped on a Monday on our way to Iowa and again on Wednesday. Amanda remembered my previous order and made the perfect suggestion on Wed. Daughter has the cinnamon pancake and the breakfast burrito, and husband really enjoyed the hamburger. Will no doubt drive the hour on a weekend to eat there again!"
"Hometown restaurant. This place was hopping one Saturday morning. We weren't sure there was a table for us. We were in and out of there in under an hour. The food was amazing. The waitress was fast, friendly and efficient. I have zero complaints about this wonderful place. You could tell the employees worked like a well oiled machine. Highly recommend."
"The Red Apple is worth the extra few miles off the I-88! Our server, Amanda, was very helpful in suggesting the regular customers favorite meals. I chose the healthy omelet with spinach and topped with avacado and fruit on the side. She said the cook arranges the fruit in different patterns for each plate and really cares about the presentation of each meal. The restaurant and bathroom were very clean and they even have hand sanitizer on the tables for you to use before your meal. We will definitely go back when we drive by Dixon again."
"Great quantity for what you pay. Local breakfast/brunch restaurant with friendly waiters and owner. Got their cinnamon roll pancake and it was the best one I've had from any restaurant! Also wanted to try one of their omelets so I got a mushroom and broccoli omelet which was above average but nothing to write home about. If I went again, I'd want to try an omelet with more ingredients or one of the many good looking dishes they brought out past us."
