"UPDATE 3/6: still don’t have my AC working and it’s humid in my apartment. Sherry the community director emailed asking if i put a work order in like i was born yesterday. i put it in last week. she cancelled it and then resubmitted it. i asked to have my late fee waive as a courtesy and her response is “malieka if i did that for you i’d have to for everyone” uh okay monica did when she worked there and other properties to do to. it’s a courtesy. its customer service. which they all lack. my lease can’t end soon enough. As a leasing agent: PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Ever since Monica and Liz left its been crap. The customer service is horrible. For anyone reading this, they will not be fixing the gates even though its listed as a 'gated property'. There's a huge pot hole in one of the gates. They blocked it off and it makes two vehicles coming/going at once horrible. It will cause an accident. My AC work order has not been addressed, but they made sure to leave a notice on my door about rent even though I've reached out several times about payment with no response. Now, I know its mandatory for the notice, but no one responded to my email. The mailboxes got broken into and I only found out from a mail carrier at my CURRENT PROPERTY. They let no one know and there is no security or peace of mind here. The parking is not managed either because all of the vehicles aren't registered. I cannot tell you the last time I saw tow truck around here. They sent an email out about trash, but what is being done to prevent people from dumping? They only come twice a week to empty out the ONE trash compactor we have. Trash ends up getting scattered all over the property. Please save yourself the headache and go to another property. The units are nice, however, the office is horrible and that is a main priority to me, especially since I work in leasing myself."
"**Don’t be sold by the ‘great’ move-in specials offered.*** I made a move that I seriously regret. It has been quite the nightmare and I still have less than 10 months left in my lease. I do believe this to be a problem worth sharing and working in the hospitality industry I hate complaining because I know how it is to being the person that has to fix it. I'll get the point of my biggest contention. First, there is a dumpster outside of my apartment, probably a little more than 50 yards. The dumpster is one of the long compactor dumpsters and there’s a tiny dumpster. Considering there’s around 20 buildings with 8 units each. Certainly, not large enough for the community. Within about a day of when trash is picked up, the compactor and dumpster are filled with trashbags. The trashbags then start falling from the compactor opening and people begin throwing their bags of trash haphazardly, into a pile inside the gates. The mountain of trash gets so high, I feel sorry for the very helpful/kind maintenance guys that have to come clean the dumpsters on top of all the service requests from the complex that’s on it’s last legs. The issue can get to the point where the gate cannot even shut completely, because the trash is literally spewing out of the gate. The mound of trash is not only an eye sore, but my biggest concern is that it is inviting to rats, roaches, and potentially other animals like skunks and raccoons. I would go into more detail about what I’ve seen but I feel like I need therapy to even do that. Not to mention, the sprinklers are not calibrated correctly and flood the complex resulting in contaminated trash water flowing through the entire complex. When I take my dogs out there is no trashcan at the dog station near my apartment to dispose of its waste. So I am either forced to walk a longer distance to dispose of my dog's waste at another station to dump my dogs’ waste (which is ridiculous), or throw my dogs’ waste into the horrendous pile of filth of this dumpster which has shards of glass surrounding with the possibility of my dogs stepping in it and getting an infection from whatever bacteria contaminates it from the build up of trash and the water it sits in. This worries me for several reasons: 1) Rats and roaches can carry all kinds of diseases. Not to sound dramatic, but this is a health risk no matter which way you look at it. 2) Management is completely aware and I have expressed my concerns since August. I was told they were working on it, but it only gets worse everyday. 3)In addition to the trash issues it took just about 3 months for the light outside of my front door and broken deadbolt that was brought to managements attention the day I moved in. I don't consider myself a litigious person, but I do believe this is a serious problem and not a living environment I'd like to be in. I'm not afraid of rats or roaches, but I am afraid of the diseases they can carry. While I understand landlords can only bait and exterminate the best they can. I have brought up the dumpster issue numerous times. I don't think it takes a genius to realize that excessive trash = unwanted critters. If I knew there was a rat problem, or the dumpster outside of my apartment was piled to the point that I am concerned to visit it at night, I would have never chosen to live there. I wrote this 2 months ago, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and hoped it would be fixed in a reasonable amount of time. I am at just about 4 months into a 13 month lease and it just feels like the day I move out is lightyears away."
"Update as 11/07/2023- I am keeping the complex at my previous 1 star rating. We have been going back and forth with front office management for about 3 months about some type of credit being placed on our account. Saying this, we were provided $100 for the microwave… after having it in the below condition for over 2 months. Front office seems very disorganized and unable to keep proper documentation of complaints/ conversation/ correspondence. Apartment is very low quality for the $1300 a month we pay. They moved us into a unit with a broken microwave, hole in the bathroom door, broken patio door,etc. Maintenance does their best, but honestly feel like there are more requests than they can handle. Walls are so thin I can hear the people above me talking. Not to mention the huge cockroaches and rodents. They also would not let us view the unit before move in because it would be getting new flooring and professionally cleaned. When we moved in the bottom of our feet were BLACK, grease all over the stove, drip pans so old and worn that they were corroded, etc."
"I just moved in as of today. First I want to say this is a very unfiltered review that accurately describes my move in so far! First I will start with the good.. the property is beautiful, greenery is well kept. Monica is very polite and knowledgeable. I give Monica 5 stars for sure. When I went into our unit the whole place had been professionally cleaned, I can not complain at all. No dust in sight at all. Least to say I was impressed! The carpet is fantastic and the window shutters are great as well. I got the classic unit and I can so far say that the layout is fantastic for a 1x1. It’s a quiet family friendly property, and the doors have double security lock which is great! The fireplace looks beautiful, and the vanity mirror as well. The cons: roaches in cabinets. I will update this review in a month to see if the issue is resolved which I have confidence that it will. Gates don’t close so people from the other neighborhoods are continually coming to use “Our” apt. Community pool. Other residents don’t clean their dog poop. The only reason I rate it a 4 is due to the roach infestation otherwise this place is a well deserving 5. Be aware $250+ electric bills for a one bed room here!"
"Horrible experience at this complex. Maintenance requests take weeks if not months (it took almost 4 months for me to get a working microwave and dishwasher) and management doesn’t help with issues. Twice they’ve left me without AC for over a week during the summer. The trash service is unreliable and management won’t help solve any issues with Ally Waste. When I first toured the complex a year ago I was told that the gates would be fixed soon and we’d be getting key fobs. The gates are still broken and have huge ruts in the road that make it nearly impossible to leave without messing up your car. People resort to driving on the wrong side of the road, which poses a safety hazard for all involved. The buildings are so old/broken down that there are constantly issues. There’s no insulation in my apartment which causes me to have $200-300 electric bills (for a 1 bedroom) in the summer. I have already been in touch with higher management for many of these issues and while I was hopeful something would change, nothing has happened. I was very hopeful when I first moved in based on all the good reviews, and staff was excellent my first month or so. It all went downhill from there. Good luck to everyone who decides to move in here, you’ll absolutely need it"
