Terrawood Apartments

"I recently moved out of Terrawood after living 3 years in B2 unit in building 2. We liked the apartment in the first year before Bell partners(must be a big corporate) bought the complex. Long story short, I received a move out statement. They charged me $400 carpet replacement. I called them asked about this charge. They said 5 years is a carpet lifespan and the carpet cleaner recommended replacement so they replaced it and charge me prorated $$$ per their policy. I told them the carpet was not new when we moved in. Under the Texas law, “”The landlord may not charge you for normal wear and tear on the premises and may only charge for actual abnormal damage”” I asked them if they can show me the record when the carpet was replaced because they didn’t give me newly carpeted apartment. They said they don’t have the record because they bought the complex a year and a half ago. We also required photos before they replaced it. They didn’t have any. They just replaced without telling us They didn’t even give us time to assess. I never had any kind of pet. I’m trying to file a local court case which cost me $100 with my coworker’s help. I can’t stand to this unfair situation. Take photos before you move out. This is also one of the advice I learnt."

"When I first moved into my apartment in October of 2022, the management was amazing. Everyone was friendly and my family made it a point to visit the office often because there was a sense of community. All the amenities were well maintained and the ground were clean, with a high-end feel. Javante, and the hardworking maintenance team have been nothing short of perfect in their service. Javante wears many hats and goes beyond the boundaries of his job title. However, there has recently been a change in management and we no longer feel taken care of, but passed off to a lesser equipped, absent minded individual. Bell Partners is making obvious budget cuts when it comes to the grounds and amenities, even asking residents to pay for their own water filters. Juanita, the manager, is deflective, passive aggressive, and not suited for a job taking care of a property, or people in general. She has been caught digging through residents trash to issue fines, and seems to lack the general knowledge required to perform even the most basic duties. The extra long review made by “Victor,” is glaringly A.I. generated, as the disapproval for management felt from residents is palpable. Juanita is forcefully friendly on the surface, and completely clueless on matters pertaining to her job. My truck had its windows bashed in, high ticket item stolen, and she claims to not have access to security camera footage at the front gate to aid the police investigation- but wants to add cameras at garbage receptacles to catch residents use improper disposal form; I’m not sure why her main objective is to police residents about the already insufficient garbage area, but it seems to be a personal project. If you’re considering moving in, I’d wait until there’s a change in lead staff."
