"There is A positive here, that's Nicole. She is a wonderful person 5/5. Now for everything else. We had non stop issues since the start. Our move in date was pushed back several times due to "cleaning and getting carpet replaced". We expected a pretty clean apartment with brand new carpet as that's the reason we were told our move in date was delayed several weeks right? Wrong, it honestly left me speechless. The carpet had been replaced,as for cleaning and their make ready prep? As soon as we walked in half of the blinds were the wrong size, not sure how someone didn't notice it. As we went through everything for our initial inspection list we came across a bottom cabinet section that was absolutely filthy, had not even been touched at all. Cat food, crumbs, onion peels, hair, you name it and it was there. Cabinets had stains and food residue. Our dishwasher had standing water backed up into it that reeked of mildew even after several cycles of running cleaner through it which tells me it had been sitting there for a long time. We had practically no water pressure. Our shower would cut off water pressure almost entirely as soon as the handle was turned to the point where the water was a comfortable temperature. We had several work orders put in for it. The first one maintenance came to look at it and said they had to order a part and they'd have it fixed within a week. They never showed up. We put in another work order thinking they forgot about it. They canceled the work order. Every work order we put in got canceled. The entire time we were living here we could not get ahold of management on the phone. If we needed to talk to management we had to go into the office in person. During our first year and a half there the swimming pool looked like a swamp. One of our neighbors was constantly having domestic disputes and screaming at eachother and slamming things around at all hours, police being called countless times by multiple people. First responders in general are usually called to the apartment complex multiple times a day. Fast forward to our moving out. One day leaving for work i opened the door and i was met with an eviction notice dropping to the ground. It was for non compliance with the affordable housing act (i have never been on HUD or any affordable housing assistance program). I set up a viewing for later that day thinking we were being evicted as we had an official notice. We started the process to apply for the new apartments then upon returning home we stopped by the office to see why we were being evicted. They told us "you're not actually being evicted that was just to get you to come into the office to sign some papers". There was no attempt to contact me period all we had was a FALSE eviction notice that according to management was also sent to about 40 other people for the same thing. That is BEYOND wrong and EXTREMELY unprofessional. After moving and turning in our keys I recieved an email about a rent payment that was due for March after i was told by management that our february rent was going to be pro rated and i was going to be refunded for the remainder of the month and was only being charged for the days up until we turned in the keys. I called to talk to them about the rent payment that they said was due. They finally cleared the charge (I checked the portal) and said that it just hasn't been updated in their system yet. She then told me she was going to transfer me to one of her bosses to discuss the refund. Here's where it gets good. Someone picked up the phone (you could hear the phone hit against the base they picked it up off of) and then immediately hangs up about 2 seconds later. I call back expecting to get ahold of the lady i had just been talking to and to let her know what happened thinking that their boss was just busy at the moment despite the behavior being extremely unprofessional. However i was met with my call being dodged. My call was immediately forwarded to their message system. i've tried back several times now and every time my call gets ignored."

"I lived at the Edison for two years. Yes, Nicole is wonderful when you move in. But things don't stay wonderful. I spent most of my time at the apartment due to my health, and my health is why I chose explicitly a none smoking facility. My neighbor smoked heavily indoors, and it entered my unit very heavily. I was denied to have a new apartment, they never did anything to fix, and I was still paying for a "no smoking" facility. This raised my medical costs, and I couldn't afford to leave as my asthma worsened. I couldn't fully use my apartment due to this. Our movein date was moved back multiple times so they could "clean." Food, cat and human, and grease was on every surface, all over the walls, ceiling, fridge, oven, microwave, the drawers, cupboards etc. The dishwasher had sitting water, that caused a mold build up that after thorough cleaning, bleach could not get the smell out after two years. The toilet was beyond nasty, the shower was covered in debris and hair, small hairs like beard or worse were covering the bathroom drawer, counter, and floor. The food in the kitchen was also covering the wall of the dining area. The onsite laundry facilities constantly fail payment (wifi card readers,) most dryers don't heat, washers leave weird smells, etc. The neighbors slamming their doors makes the apartment shake. We couldn't have stuff on our walls due to how much it would shake, and of course dust is constantly falling from the ceiling so nothing ever looked clean even after cleaning. My neighbor would throw things, stomp angrily, yell, at any hour of the night or day. If she had company, they'd go between loud even at 3am, to fighting, slamming and throwing things, etc. Many times this was 12am to 4am on and off. Slamming her door during the day could happen every 5-15 minutes for hours during the day, AND sometimes during the night. She throws stuff, like pots and pans and stuff, hits the floor or wall, constantly shaking our apartment, and noise or smoke complaints fell on deaf ears for ALL of her leasing violations. And yes, she could close her door quietly when she wanted to. This was all a constant issue. The neighbor across from her is just one of the many domestic abuse situations you'd have to witness. Constantly screaming all times of the day and night. Always swearing at each other, yelling at each other, and the little girl under 4 was always being verbally lashed and sworn at. Daily issue. Some shootings, lots of domestic abuse and yelling matches frequently. And dogs barking and fighting all the time, being left out on balconies for hours and hours with no one doing anything about it most of the time. Cops and ambulances are there constantly. Expect nonstop screaming and barking. For two years water got turned off frequently and I was never put on the text alert despite trying to be, they never did. Calling them doesn't work and sometimes you get hung up on and then they never answer your number again. Once you get moved in, you have to walk to their office, or they won't speak to you. They've said they let it go to vm intentionally as well, in front of residents. We got an eviction notice, a real one, signed, dated, and all, as a warning to come sign our renewal papers..... They did this to over 30 other people as well, and said they were allowed to pass out eviction notices to get people to sign these papers.... So expect to randomly be told you're being evicted when you're not, because "we can." Our apartment had an oven where the burners don't heat properly, and the oven didn't heat properly either. It also fell apart and the door fell on me, apparently this happens a lot. No water pressure ever for the shower or kitchen sink. All of our work orders for maintenance were cancelled, without us being informed. We had maintenance come in one time, and they never fixed anything.... And never came back. The pool was disgusting most of the time, turning a slimy dark green color. And when they did clean it, people would be sneaking to the pool at 1-4am with a boombox level of music on the week days."
