"Let's face it, a colonoscopy is not something most of us look forward to. But I can tell you that it's necessary health maintenance. Because of a previous cancer diagnosis, I have been getting these exams since I was in my 30's...so while I haven't kept a score card I believe this is my 4th one. This one, by far, was the easiest...from the prep to the exam to recovery (which was really just letting the anesthesia wear off). The process has definitely improved in the last 10 years, and having it done at a state of the art facility made it even better. Because of the newer equipment there, I had no cramps or bloating afterwards. But all the fancy equipment doesn't mean anything if the team doesn't know their stuff. I can tell you they do. Every step of the procedure was explained to me. Every one I had contact with, from the front desk to the young lady who escorted me to the car afterwards (shout out to Mai Ling) was courteous, professional, and gave the impression that they genuinely cared that I had the best possible experience. Gotta also give a shout out to Dr. Chris Godell who has been my GI guy for the last 20 years! You're the best! If you require an endoscopic procedure, you owe it to yourself to check out the brand new facility in Leander."
