"Front desk staff are horrible. You feel like you are bothering them. No smiles or thank you. I’ve been coming to this practice for 21 years and over the last several years have seen the front desk deteriorate and have a high turnover. Looking for a new practice."

"I read the reviews and was kind of iffy about coming here. But they weren’t lying. The front desk supervisor Christine or Christina has no empathy at all. She didn’t believe me when I told her what happen, it’s like she only wants to hear the word of her employees and that’s it. I was simply explaining to her that when I 1st made my appointment the front desk had ask what I wanted to be seen for and I said a complete physical and to have some paperwork filled out for my job and they never informed me that for the physical it’s up to the doctor if they want to do it for the 1st visit or not. Which was an inconvenient because that’s what I thought I was getting done. Also Dr. Jennifer never informed me that I needed to make another appointment inform to have my short term disability paperwork filled out. She only said that I needed to print it out and give it to her and that she would call me when it was ready. But when my mom came up there to get my paperwork they said I had to make another appointment in order to get my paperwork. My only thing is that I don’t like people thinking that I’m a lying and I know what I heard. But overall Dr. Jennifer does seem like a good doctor and she seems like she cares for her patients so far."

"I have been a long time patient in Pinewood family medical. Dr. Tay has been my endocrinologist for a couple of years now and I have been going to this practice for several years for the regular doctor. On Friday my experience with Jennifer a nurse practitioner was absolutely awful. I went in to get some much-needed help, and for my yearly physical, I explained to her that I had recently gone through a separation, and was dealing with some things at home. And as a result, I had gained 26 pounds back. I told her I knew the reason was severe depression, and I was compulsively eating. That being said she was very kind during the visit, but when she walked out, she began to tell the women at the front desk rather loudly because I heard it down the hall with my door shut. That she never wants to see another weight loss consultation ever again. That I knew what was wrong and yet I continued on the path that I was on. Had I not needed help I wouldn’t have even asked. I went in there, looking for an answer and help from my doctor only to be embarrassed and ridiculed in front of the other people who work there. It was a traumatizing experience. It has cut me to my core. I was flabbergasted at her lack of professionalism. Women are supposed to be supportive to other women were supposed to build each other up, not trash talk them behind their backs."

"I am appalled by the horrible customer service and how downhill this practice has gotten and I'd been a long time patient. Although my experience with a doctor here was good, it takes the team a while to respond back and they are less than helpful. I moved states and called over a week ago to ask for a referral to continue care. No human person ever contacted me back. Yesterday when I spoke to the front desk I was told "oh your doctor just has to sign off on it" which I thought was weird since I'd never spoken to someone and they didn't know any info on where to send the referral. Today when I called back the person helping me was upset because "we don't really deal with that at the front desk." Well maybe if your referral specialist actually contacted people and did their job and this wasn't the only way to get a human on the phone then it would be a different story. It took them OVER A WEEK to tell me you have to find a new primary and they have to do a referral and the kicker was how rude the front person was. I did call back to escalate and the person who helped and explained things better was nicer which I appreciated, but I lost time where I could have been looking and booking apts and I have to wonder if I wasn't persistent if they ever would have called me back at all."

"If I could give a 0- I would. Tami Berkenhoff is amazing. She should leave this place and start a practice elsewhere. She would be a lot more successful. Office staff is about the rudest I have ever encountered. Won't be back for any more abuse by the front office. They must be busy enough to treat people like they are above the customers."
