"I was referred to SEVA Med Care by Dr. Kutz for facet injections. I called their billing office to verify insurance authorization and confirm my responsible charges PRIOR to scheduling. I spoke with Paul in billing throughout this process. I mentioned several times that I did not want any surprise bills later. I did this prior to each facet procedure and I paid in FULL my portion of the charges at time of service. For my RFA procedures, my insurance would not authorize. SEVA asked if I wanted to pay their out-of pocket cash price. I agreed, and I paid their quoted amount in FULL at the time of each RFA procedure. Now months later, I received billing statements from SEVA saying I owe over $300 additional. They billed my insurance for several things which I don't understand...but mainly, the first RFA procedure. My insurance did not pay any of those claims and now SEVA is asking me to pay that difference. When I called SEVA billing, I spoke with Paul and was told that the office staff must have made mistakes. Paul said, only they could fix the issues. I called and spoke with April at the office number. I asked to speak with an office manager but was told that I could only go in person during office hours. April said the manager would not make an appointment nor take phone calls related to billing issues. So, I will need to drive 40 minutes (each way) to 'hope' that a manager is available when I arrive. As soon as I hung up with the office, Paul from billing called me back saying that April called to see why they couldn't assist me. Paul told me he could help me now. He was 'willing' to remove the RFA additional charges if I would pay the other charges in question. I explained that I would still need to discuss the office visit (that never happened), a behavorial health charge and the drug testing charges with the facility before paying the remainder. When I thanked him for helping to remove the RFA over-charges, he stated that he would ONLY do that 'if' I paid the other charges TODAY. He kept trying to make me understand his 'deal'. He mentioned the office messed up billing the insurance for the RFA and that they also mistakenly quoted me the wrong out-of-pocket price too. He stated that they usually charge almost double what I had paid. He said that even though the office made a mistake, I was 'lucky' to only be charged $200 additional for the procedure. I told him that I shouldn't be paying anything additional from what I was quoted...and especially not paying for someone elses' mistake. Finally, Paul removed the RFA charges (but only after I asked if he had a manager I could speak to). I'll still need to drive to the office about the other charges....an office visit (which never happened), drug testing charge (which I just don't understand) and there's a Care Management charge for behavorial health conditions???? I was referred to SEVA for facet injections...not medication management and definately not behavorial health conditions. My spine MD thought these injections might help so I wouldn't have to consider medication or surgery. So, I'm really not sure what some of these other charges are doing on my account. Should this be resolved, I'll update the review. For now...this is all just very disturbing."

"The PA Rahel is really great! She's friendly and listens to her patients and their needs. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because there have been times I've had trouble with the staff on the phone, trouble trying to reach Rahel PA with a message, and a couple of times getting an Rx called in. But otherwise, I've had a great experience getting good treatment, relief from chronic pain, and there are various treatments they've tried to find the right one for me! I would recommend this place!"

"The only thing about this place that deserves 5 stars is Ruby Thomas and the young black male nurse at the 61st location. The answering service lacks an understanding of customer service. I was verbally attacked by someone taking my payment over the phone because of my balance. He would not let me speak, he kept interrupting me and wanted to argue with every comment I made. I was trying to make a payment over the phone and was being talked down to because of my balance. How does that make sense? I kept telling him I was at work and all I was trying to do was make a payment over the phone. He kept talking down to me about my balance AS I AM MAKING A PAYMENT!! I told him I needed to go because I was at work and asked him if my payment processes so I could go. He would not answer instead was hung up on my balance. I raised my voice and told him I was at work. He said "Fine I will call you right at 5pm" So at this point I am being harassed and disconnected the call!!!! When SEVA took over this place tanked to the ground. SEVA you might want to train your answering service on how to treat people. Please do not bother with your generic reply stating how sorry you are with a number to call. THAT IS FAKE!! The only reason I stay is for Ruby Thomas!!!!!!! PS...this is SEVA Tulsa Oklahoma. Not sure why it says Lewisville"

"I discontinued my visits due to witnessing several instances of medical errors. These errors included incorrect procedure codes recorded before my injections, confusion between right and left sides on the forms, and a lack of inquiries about my pregnancy status prior to procedures. Notably, this pregnancy-related protocol only commenced after my third injection at the clinic. I want to highlight that my insurance company was duly informed beforehand for pre-authorization, assuring coverage for the procedures. Despite this, I now find myself in a situation where your billing supervisor is using coercive language. Despite my insurance successfully covering the injections. Even with prior-authorization they continue to bill me for services. Their billing center is off shore and does a poor job communicating with patients."
