WellMed at North Brownsville

"They miscoded one of my labs so that I have been getting hassled by LabCorp to pay a bill my insurance should cover, but for WellMed's mistake. I have asked them for over 3 months to fix it, but they keep saying they are working on it, but it doesn't get fixed. Now I am getting threatening letters, so will have to pay because WellMed ignored the issue."

"Dr.Smith is incompetent! He told my mother she no longer needed to take her blood pressure medication & to just stop it now, just because her blood pressure has been normal. My mom asked to be referred to her cardiologist for his opinion and he said, “ No, you don’t need to go unless I say so! And plus your insurance won’t cover it”! My mom asked well how do you know that? And when are you going to refer me to my cardiologist whom I haven’t seen in 3 years? Dr.Smith told her that when she has a heat attack then she could go see him. Come to find out the clinics gain points if the patient don’t see specialist. This place is horrible! This is the month to change insurance providers people! Don’t go to Well Med clinics especially this one!!!!"

"Nurses and staff nice but Dr Martinez became the rudest doctor ever. I became disabled and On my first visit she told me the well med clinic was more for elderly and that i should look for another dr. I stayted cuz of insurance but it has gotten worse. She doesn't care about patients at all i think it's all about numbers. Doesn't let you talk and explain what's wrong. If you try to talk she'll talk right over you in a very rude manner. She does not treat you for anything, only refers you out everywhere. If your head hurts to a specialist, if your stomach hurts to a specialist, if ear hurts to a specialist etc etc. She doesn't even try to treat you first and then refer you out. She's in and out of the room in less than 3 or 4 min. I was trying to tell her something and she was opening the door and walking out and talking over me telling me the nurse would be in to shortly. I had to send the nurse 3 times to ask the dr my questions since she couldn't wait for me to ask her.. simply ridiculous. I was able to tell her i had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and all she said was well you already take to much medication. No sympathy for my pain whatsoever. Felt worse than i was feeling when i got outta there. I hope well med clinic reads the reviews and gets rid of her asap. If she doesn't like to deal with sick people then she's in the wrong place."

"If only I could not input a star because this office does not deserves any stars. I will not speak on the first appointment my mother had at this office because at the end it was taken care by Mr. Hinojosa. Today was her first appointment with the doctor and were my mother was getting her lab results and talk to the supposed Dr. Martinez. After waiting for an hour Dr. Martinez walks in the room reads the lab results and checks my mother breathing ask her couple of questions about how she was feeling and in less than 4 mins total time in the room Dr. Martinez said that she was not a specialist an that she was going to refer my mother to a specialist. My mother tried to let Dr. Martinez of what she was feeling and her health and all Dr. Martinez was to talk over my mother and never stopped to listen to her complaints. Dr. Martinez began to walk out of the room and said that the nurse was going to walk in to explain to her some things. On her way out I stopped her told her that my mother suffered from acid reflex and said you want me to refer her to a specialist that she would. While Dr. Martinez was standing at the door my mother told her that she had other things that she would like to discuss to her and all Dr. Martinez said was that it was too many things to talk in one day and that the nurse would come in to go over some instructions. As you can see Dr. Martinez does not care about her patients or just don’t want to see new patients with how she acted today. I will not allow my mother to go back to this office and I will contact my mother insurance to put a complain on her. I definitely DO NOT recommend to go to this office to anyone."

"The Doctors here are good. If possible I'd give a zero. The front desk and schedule personal need better training or atlest personal accountability! It's unsettling that they would blame a 80 year old woman for their scheduling error then give her a new appointment 2 months later to discuss results to her exams."
