"The female nurse practitioner is more concerned about her quota on pharmaceuticals than actually getting to the root of the issue. It’s because of medical people like her that we have a opioid crisis. Yes, pharmaceuticals mask the issue not heal it. And they give much more side effects. The place went downhill after our doctor left. She listened to the issue and made proper referrals and wasn’t concerned about the next vacation the pharmaceutical companies will be sending her on. Not much this so called medical provider can educate on when trying to get people more sick with “medicine” I use that word lightly. I’m for healing and getting to the root of the issue not masking it with drugs. Pathetic excuses of a human."

"By far the WORST doctors office I’ve ever dealt with. When I ran out of my heartburn medication they denied the pharmacy’s refill request, so I called them and left a message. I waited a week and a half for a call back but never got one. After purchasing over the counter meds and taking double the recommended amount I contacted them again, and they told me I would have to make an appointment to get my (omeprazole) prescription refilled. I inquired “what I could do in the meantime” and she said there was nothing they could do! As anyone with g.i.r.d will tell you… severe heartburn for another 2 weeks waiting for an appointment was simply not an option. I told the teenager on the other end of the phone that they were the worst doctor office I’ve ever visited, and she promptly hung up on me (before I could even finish the sentence). I’m a 41 year old man and this woman was treating me like a child that was asking for a piece of candy. They also charged me for a testosterone test that the never actually performed, and refused to refund the money. Last year when I had my blood work done they had the receptionist call and read me the results. When I asked her questions about the results she was reading me she told me she didn’t know if the levels were good or bad. I’m not a doctor, so how were either of us supposed to understand all of the information she was reading to me? Completely useless waste of time. I’m done. Don’t go to Family Care Clinic, unless you like to be treated like a number and not a person."

"Worst experience of my LIFE! I miss Dr. Michelle, this new doctor Dr. Sheila Shepard yelled at me when I began to cry when she offered me birth control and I told her give me another option cause that wasn’t one I was willing to take. She then yelled at me and said “You didn’t let me finish all the options!” at that point, it’s over. You claim to be a professional doctor? Who yells at their patients for crying over being frustrated? Then she offered me to a different doctor who was a male and even said “I know you don’t like male doctors but I’m gonna bring him” and that is HORRIBLE. She berated me for “not listening” when I was the one needing to tell her what was wrong with me. Then they tried to make me pay for my visit when I left because I did not want her to touch me. I refused to pay as I will be taking myself to ANY other doctor than Dr. Sheila Shepard. She is abrasive, uncompromising, condescending, and rude. I pray for anyone who has to deal with her ever. Save your life and DONT go to Dr. Shepard."

"This is by far the best, most professional doctor's office I have ever been to. The nurses and other medical care professionals are so nice and patient, answered all my questions and more. Dr. Ruiz has got to be the coolest doctor I have ever talked to. He went over all my test results thoroughly and was extremely encouraging with all my health goals. I would highly recommend this doctor's office to anyone and everyone."

"I feel they don’t truly care for the well being of their patients. I was written off by Michelle and couldn’t get her to return my calls about ongoing pain I was experiencing in my stomach even though she ruled it “a problem with my diet”. I ended up in the ER for an ulcer. I tried calling to speak to the office manager because I would hope they would care to hear how their patients are being treated but I could never get a call back."
